My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a bit of a foodie. I like to cook stir fries because you can be creative. Like salmon, mushrooms and pineapple. I'm not a baker. I really love to eat out at random classy restaurants and I'd like someone to do it with. I love grilling chicken.

I like playing board games. I really like pinball. Occasionally I become a serious video gamer but I go months between picking up a controller. I can be a typical nerd but I'm also a closet meat-head. I'm working on lifting my weight above my head, squatting a couple hundred for reps, and doing chin-ups with one arm.

It currently says agnostic on the side. I'm fine with receiving messages from anybody if you're respectful of that.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Eat, drink, sleep. Work. Exercise. Hangout. Work on the house.

I don't think about typical goals like travel, which seems like a cliche in all these profiles I've read. I read a lot, I want to be smarter, I think about health. Which is not to say that travel isn't fun. I can talk your ear off about my 9 weeks in India and 4 days in Germany.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Pondering. Reading. Work.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Not sure. Maybe I'm quiet?
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Finding someone based on lists is a tad silly. Nevertheless:

Movies: The Die Hards. Nature documentaries. Ground Hogs Day. No real favorites I don't like re-watching things generally.

Music: Fear Factory, BT, Our Lady Peace - they are soothing, Live, phildel, Scorpions, Kamelot, Guns N Roses, AFI, basement Jaxx, Tori Amos, Mumphord and Sons, Rise Against, Of Monsters and Men, Tegan and Sara. I'm also starting to collect vinyl.

Books: Calvin and Hobbes. The Farside Gallery. The Power of One. Hyperion by Dan Simmons. I'm also reading some of my college text books and I'm trying to understand the stock market/economy. I also enjoy technical documentation: powerPC processors, openGL, openCL, computer networking, aeronautical standards, etc.

TV: Netflix or Hulu: Adventure Time! The Venture Bros. I also like stand up comedians. I've been watching M*A*S*H with my friends for the past two years and we're now into season 9 of 11.

Food: Scotch and Girly drinks (no beer.) Thai. Salmon. Greek yogurt. Chocolate Milk. Sushi. French onion soup. coconut shrimp. lamb. Salami Bagel sandwiches. I grill a lot of chicken and I'm getting into grilling vegetables, I love grilled sweet potatoes.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Sorry, but I think this kind of contemplation is a luxury for those who don't appreciate just how great life is in the first world. There are a lot of things I could do without and a lot that I couldn't. But they all contribute to my longer life expectancy and leisure. I shall count my blessings
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Life and spirituality.
Is the stock market artificially high and will there be a correction?
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
A restaurant or a bar maybe but I don't like weekend crowds. Lifting weights, barbequing, a bonfire. Playing video games. Or board games. Or watching a movie. Or netflix. Or watching a CNC machine mill aluminum parts on youtube.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I own three pinball tables. And three drafting tables.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You can have fun any day without a dependency on it being Friday or Saturday night. You can argue board game rules with an inside voice. You aren't using this site to run your own little version of the bachlorette show.

If you do write me, it is much appreciated. Writing messages, trying to stand out from the crowd, where I feel like I'm listing or interviewing someone to draw them out isn't fun.

FYI: I don't enjoy exchanging pleasantries by okcupid-mail with several day gaps between messages. Then after a week all we've shared is equal to a 5 minute instant message conversation. So eventually I appreciate using an IM of some sort. Or coffee, tea, or dinner. Or pinball.
