Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I have my laptop set to the lowest brightness setting and I'm
relaxing on my outdoor sectional under the roof of my screened in
porch. A thunderstorm is brewing in the distance over the mountains
of Westerns Pennsylvania and I can just hear my 10:00 train blowing
it's whistle three miles away. Speaking of whistle, my tea is
I'm sitting far from the hustle and bustle of the city, which is
fun to visit but not to stay. It's not much, but it's mine. I built
the porch, chose the color, arranged the art and kept it clean. I
consider my chair the King's spot; that is, the place from which I
survey my Kingdom, to use hyperbole.
I changed my career 2 months ago. I left the glamorous world of
psychology and academic offices to "donate to the stock of tangible
things." I work now as a carpenter. Making things more beautiful,
complete and functional. Some websites I just scanned over implied
that men need to build and improve in order to be happier which can
percolate down to them becoming better people. Thats true for me to
I could do with someone who would see the value in what I'm doing.
Maybe go get a glass of the wine I opened last night while cooking
dinner. Someone to fill one of the empty chairs laid out in front
of me. Let's have a good conversation about our wayward friends or
share a mutual concern about the wine going bad if we don't finish
I won't be dishonest and I will share my feelings. I take pride in
the way I treat others. Pride is good, I have a great deal of it.
I'm proud to remodel my home, take care of my cat, be best friends
with my brother, take care of my mother and count her as a close
friend, work for my money and spend it to make others happy.

My next new project for the moment.

I don't particularly like communicating through writing. Meeting in
person is much more fun, easier and richer in information. With
that said, this is online so I understand if you want to talk for a
while to make sure I'm normal.
You don't mind that I'm quirky
You don't particularly like dates in loud places.
