My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hello! My name is Catie, I'm currently a college senior living in Keene. I love being outdoors, hiking, kayaking, and just hanging out with friends. I also enjoy being out on the water, boating is an amazing way to kill a hot summer day. I'm not really a country girl, but I do enjoy big pickup trucks, country music, and just hanging out with friends after a long day. I also love the snow and cold weather, the heat really kills me. I'm a pretty good snowboarder and skier, though I haven't done either in several years.

I really love to travel, in this past year I've been to NYC, Seattle, Phoenix, Colorado, Utah, and a bunch of stops in airports along the way. I think I also love traveling because I hardly ever get lost, no joke I feel like I'm a human GPS sometimes. I have an amazing sense of direction and it has gotten me out of the woods many times!

I tend to think of myself as a more logical rational person. But I still love to have fun and goof off all the time.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm currently an RA at Keene State College working on a degree in Geography. When I graduate in December I'll be trying to figure out what to do what the rest of my life, haha.

I'm looking into graduate school programs for geographic information systems to be a GIS analyst. Yup, I make maps, haha.

I'm also really seriously looking for a real job in addition to graduate school. I've been told that my profession is in high demand, GIS people, so hopefully I can find something soon so I can start paying for school.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'm a very good listener, I know how to actively listen and offer people help and advice. I'm also pretty good at telling life how it is, I consider myself a realist, haha. I believe I'm also good at holding my own in conversations and enjoy the occasional intelligent discussion.

I also feel like I have a talent for photography. I love taking pictures of wildlife and nature scenes. I went to the desert southwest for 10 days and took close to 2,000 pictures. It was amazing. My mom also tells me that I am very photogenic and that the camera likes me and I take good photographs, I think she lies some times, haha.

I'm also pretty good at getting my truck all muddy in the back roads around Keene.
The first things people usually notice about me

I have heard that I have a very nice smile which I agree with, I better have gotten a nice smile out of all those years with braces, haha.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books - Anything thriller, spy, or mystery.
Movies - Forbidden Planet is my favorite movie of all time, I also really like Alien, Aliens, Top Gun, Predator, The Mummy, Romancing the Stone, Dirty Dancing, The Crazies, Die Hard, Pulp Fiction, The Boondock Saints, Coneheads, etc. I never get scared during movies, I think that's because my father and I used to watch scary sci-fi movies when I was younger so stuff doesn't frighten me any more.
Shows - 24, Greys Anatomy, Bones, True Blood, Deadwood, Law and Order, Spartacus, The Dead Zone, Top Gear (UK), The Tudors, Camelot.
Music - Electronic, dubstep, country, and classic rock. I also love 80's one hit wonders, and 80's metal.
Food - I love sushi, I refuse to eat some types of fish cooked and I really want to try fugu, or puffer fish, which contains toxins that can kill.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. My family - Can't live without them!
2. My cell phone - cheesy, I know, but it keeps me connected
3. Music - Nothing can quite express itself like a song
4. My Nikon DSLR - Pictures are worth a 1000 words
5. My 4runner - 18mpg, but its pretty sweet
6. Yearly vacation - 2 weeks in the Canadian wilderness, its heaven.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
My future, where I'm going and what I'm going to do.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
If I'm not on duty, an RA thing, I'm usually out with friends or relaxing on my own with a good book.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have a secret love for Jersey Shore. There I said it, yes its trashy, but it makes me feel good that I don't have a trashy life like those people do.
