I am ostensibly a Renaissance man; music, science, art, literature, athleticism, language, love, politics, food, and pretty much anything else in this wacky life thing can be my inspiration, obsession, or rapture.

If for no other reason than to dissuade you from writing the above off as a load of rubbish, I am or have been:

a relatively good musician (saxophone, but perhaps not what folks usually think of), a poor speaker of spanish, a very enthusiastic rock climber, a cook, though I'm not sure I'd call myself a chef, a fast-ish driver of automobiles, a manager, a bookworm, a lover - qualitative opinion withheld, a rather bad photographer, a mechanic, a terrible writer of poetry and of prose, a computer geek, a storyteller, a best friend, a rather poor archer, a mountain biker, a masseur, a baseball/softball player, a mentor, and a what seem like a million other things..

Mostly though, I'm just happy to be here. :)
