My self-summary
My ideal weekend involves catching up with friends, getting a taste of something cultural (music or the arts), taking on a good bike ride in the sun, and pulling together loose ends before launching into another week.

What else about me? I’m from New England (Vermont), and I've spent the past 10 years living in different places. I lived overseas for a couple of years (former Soviet Union), in NYC for a couple of years, and in DC for the past five years. I moved to Atlanta in August of 2012, and I'm loving the chance to explore a new city. I'm really excited about the job that's brought me here, and feeling grateful for the chance to start a new chapter in life.
What I’m doing with my life
Working as a researcher for a university. I do management research on government organizations.

In my free time, I'm trying to explore more neighborhoods around Atlanta, find some places to catch live music, and track down some scenic bike trails!
I’m really good at
Directions, shooting pool, meeting people at a party, finding something to do outside
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Machine-Gun Preacher was pretty good - man, I'd like to meet that guy. I am reading the Steve Jobs right now...which is actually kinda funny...

music: progressive dance music, house, incl. M.I.A., will.i.am, Boom Jinx, Oakenfold, PVD, etc.; as well as progressive rock like U2, Audioslave or Velvet Revolver

The Wire, John Stewart, something funny or suspenseful
The six things I could never do without
family/friends
faith
exercise
music
comic relief (aka the daily show)
getting outdoors
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How amazing the Rolling Stones are, and even with all of the new music that I listen to and enjoy, their sounds are just timeless to me.
On a typical Friday night I am
Out w/friends, volunteering for something, or grabbing a dvd to unwind
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
After getting a few steps out of my apartment in the morning, I often realize I’ve forgotten something I was supposed to bring with me, resort to the entire unlocking-locking process again to reclaim it before heading back out the door.

You should message me if
You find enjoyment in your work or personal goals, think that getting involved in a church community can be cool, and you're not afraid to talk a little trash over a game of pool.
