My self-summary
I'm a lady who enjoys a great many things: top amongst them are books (I love reading children's books, biographies, and chick-lit), movies (they are my drug), and laughing (if you don't have a sense of humor, move along). I am witty and I keep a guy on his toes. I love me some Texas, but I am desperately hoping to travel abroad soon.
What I’m doing with my life
I am ceaselessly educating and molding the minds of America's youth. I teach fourth grade. If you don't like kids, then yikes; you might want to get that checked out. I hope to pursue other goals in the future. Mark my words: I will write and publish a children's book one day.
I’m really good at
Improvisation: I'm not talking theatre improv, though I'm pretty good at that. I mean I frequently start sentences and have no idea where they are going to end up. Sometimes the stuff that comes out of my mouth is surprising. This everyday improv has led to some rambling. Guilty.

Word selection: That's the teacher in me.

Putting outfits together: I want to style about 70% of the people I see daily.
The first things people usually notice about me
My eyebrows. They're kind of a big deal. I mean, you'll want to be friends with them...
My eyes. They are gray, green, brown. I have been told they look kind of like dead sunflowers. It was not meant as a compliment.
My laugh. Voted most contagious laugh as my high school superlative. You'd have to hear it to understand.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books:
A biography on Clark Gable
Pride and Prejudice
The Hunger Games Trilogy
Something Borrowed/Something Blue
Movies:
O' Brother Where Art Thou? (favorite)
Silence of the Lambs
Amelie
anything with Steve Buscemi
Psycho
The Prestige
It Happened One Night
Too many romantic comedies to list
Shows:
The Mindy Project
True Blood
Arrested Development (I have seen every episode multiple times, and I laugh maniacally every time.)
Friends

HGTV in the house
I succumb to my baser instincts and watch some trashy reality TV shows as well.
Music:
of Montreal
Michael Jackson
I enjoy falsetto male vocalists. Except for Tiny Tim. You get out of here.
Food:
Italian and ice cream. Duh.
The six things I could never do without
1. Family
2. Netflix (I just signed up in December and I am OBSESSED. I have gotten way too emotionally invested in long-canceled TV shows and forget that I have friends and a life that exists outside of my bed.)
3. Libraries
4. Diet Coke
5. A body of water
6. Flowers
I spend a lot of time thinking about
what I eventually want to be, and what it would be like to live in various locales all over the world.
On a typical Friday night I am
either hitting the town with friends, or staying in with a good book or my Mac watching Netflix. But let's be real. I'm a teacher who gets up before the dawn Monday-Friday, so if I stay in on Friday, I will fall asleep mid-sentence by like 10:30.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I am a ball of neuroses. But they're cute. I promise.
