My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a fun person. I love to laugh and I generally have a good time most of the time. I have opinions about stuff and I enjoy talking. I blush easily and have strong emotional responses but I'm respectful, self-aware and attempt to be pragmatic in most things.

My idea of a fun time is sitting around shooting the breeze with friends while drinking good beer or good bourbon. I'm a big fan of sports and a die hard Spurs fan.

It's important to me that I surround myself with good people who have similar values. I'm intellectual, political, liberal-leaning, and fun loving. I feel pretty at ease in most situations.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I work with teachers and provide staff development. Additionally, I am involved in a couple of volunteer endeavors. I stay engaged and keep a full calendar, but that doesn't mean I'm too busy for the right relationship.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Teaching. I don't teach kids anymore, I mentor and support teachers. I have been told I have an engaging personality and a way of simplifying complicated concepts.

I am pretty good at reading people also. Usually, I can tell when people are irritated, upset, uninterested, or excited just by their eyes and body movement.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I've been told my jovial disposition is what most people notice about me. I'm pretty fun to be around and generally have a good time in life. Also, I think my smile is what you'll see first when you look at me. I am a smiley person :D

And you might notice how talkative I am. I can chat up anyone!
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Oh man, my favorite books....jeez, that's hard: A Tree Grows in Brooklyn ,One Hundred Years of Solitude (Gabriel Garcia Marquez), The Kite Runner (Khaled Housseini), The Giver (Lois Lowry), and just about anything by Nora Roberts. I recently finished Lean In, by Facebook's COO Sheryl Sandberg. It's been a life-changer for me, professionally speaking.

I'm a pretty eclectic music lover. I like alt. rock, like from the 90s, but I also dig the really mellow stuff from bands like The Magic Numbers and Death Cab for Cutie. My favorite band is the Foo Fighters.

As far as food is concerned, I'm adventurous. I like Ethiopian food, Indian food, Mexican/Latin/Cuban food, Asian, Italian...pretty much anything as long as it's authentic. I get so bored by chain restaurants. I've learned to pay attention to parking lots: if it's full, it's probably great grub, regardless of how shiny/pretty the building is!
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. Internet access
2. my car
3. a place to go
4. a smart device (gotta be able to Google stuff!)
5. my super comfy bed
6. my family
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
What I forgot to do today and what I'm supposed to do tomorrow. I am the world's worst at organizing my own life.

I also spend lots of time thinking about how other people feel. The guy I see walking down the street everyday, the pan-handler at the intersection, the lady at work who worries way too much about organization...I probably spend TOO MUCH time trying to imagine the world through their eyes.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Hanging out with my pals or someone from my large family, drinking a glass of wine or a cold beer...enjoying our time on this planet together.

Or, I'm sleeping. I love finding extra time to sleep. There's never enough time to just enjoy something so simple.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I watch the movie Step Brothers on a nightly basis. And then I quote it in my head all day (and sometimes out loud, I won't lie)...I can't help it. I love it.

...you don't mind a woman with a real body, if you are passionate (about life, love, whatever it is that makes you happy), and if you want a grounded relationship. We are getting much too mature for games and unrealistic expectations. I am smart, witty, funny, and always working on being a better person.
