My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I moved to Austin from Burlington VT in March 2013 and I have been having a blast getting to know this great city. Whether it be hiking the greenbelts, discovering cool little swimming holes, indoor skydiving, or happy hours all over the city, I've been doing my best to take it all in. I make it a point to act as if I'm a tourist here in the sense that I don't ever want to take any of this city for granted.

A healthy lifestyle, including exercise and eating real food, is important for me and should also be important for you. I more or less follow a Paleo diet but am happy to indulge when I feel like it, and I do crossfit to stay in shape.

What I'm looking for:
Chemistry is crucial. If it's not there for both of us, it's probably not going to work (and it really sucks when it is there for only one of us. I've been on both sides of that one). Once that is established, honest communication and a sincere desire to make a lasting relationship work is imperative from both of us. It's not fair for one of us to carry the other in this. That's not a real relationship. And obviously, there's compatibility. If what I described above does not appeal to you, it's a non-starter. Ultimately, I want to find an incredible and lasting relationship. But I've also learned in the years since being divorced that finding the perfect match at our age is far more complex than it was back in our 20's. So let's figure out what works and take it from there. If it turns out the chemistry isn't quite right for both of us, it's great to have made another friend here in Austin.

I'd love to find out who comes up with some of the questions on this site, or more specifically the choices given for answers. Many of the questions I felt like in order to pick one of the lame answers, I'd have to write this big explanation about what I really meant. Ughh! So in many cases, I just didn't bother.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Moving forward with whatever happens next. I have a great career and I'm financially stable. I'm a software architect and love my job, but I mostly leave it behind when I leave the office. My personal time is important to me. I have friends, family, and fun but am looking for someone to share it with.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
filling out online dating surveys (Ha! If that were the case, I guess I wouldn't still be doing this), creative thinking, being a smart-ass, giving massages, and making espresso/cappuccino.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
I enjoy reading, but haven't made much time for it lately.
I don't watch any TV, but I do like to watch movies. I mostly like dramas, action, comedies.

I love music and especially love to go out and here live music here.

There aren't very many foods that I don't like, but there are some things I don't eat often because they don't align with my health goals.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My daughter
The outdoors, especially by the water
A really good wine/craft beer/tequila
And maybe
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
There's no typical, but I'm usually up to something fun
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.'re overwhelmed by my devastating good looks, my wit, and charm ;)'re relieved to find a male profile without any half naked bathroom selfies - although those could be provided if you ask nicely ;) want to try FlyBoarding with me. If you don't know what this is (and most don't), watch a video of it on YouTube. It's crazy!
...or maybe you'd just like to chat a bit, see if there's enough common interest to go meet for a drink or something, and then go from there

However, if religion plays an important part of your life or you're a Fox News watcher, we're probably not going to see eye to eye.
