I'm an adventurous, eclectic, relatively low-maintenance gal. Willing to try just about anything once. My dirty little secret: mostly I exercise just so I can eat more.

I am originally from California, and love the cycling, beach, skiing and other outdoor activities there. But I also love NYC for its off off (off) bway theater, live music and improv scene.

On a typical evening or weekend, I might be found doing any of the following: exploring an off-the-beaten path restaurant or bar (preferrably with candles and couches), taking a random, spontaneous roadtrip, taking an all day bike ride or hike that hopefully ends at a swimmable body of water, hanging out in Prospect Park watching my dog romp off-leash, shopping at the farmer's market, cooking at home, playing chess/cards, watching too many DVDs from Netflix (Lost, Dexter, 30 Rock, Mad Men and now Battlestar Galactica, yes, really).

Other random facts: I was in a marching band, I have worked at a radio station, I love '80s videogames, I am more of a night owl than a morning person, and I make fantastic mole, guacamole and margaritas.

Looking for: A best friend and partner. Someone equally eclectic, adventurous and energetic, who would call in sick on the right occasion just to stay in bed all day. Who enjoys both the highbrow and the lowbrow in life. And who would eat my lima beans for me.

Low humor threshold (laughs early and often) a very big plus. Please also be confident, communicative, creative and a tad (or more) irreverent. Bonus points if you are willing to salsa with me, even if I/we salsa badly.

My ideal partner would also really like to have kids one day and would think it would be a blast to take them to Disneyland or coach their soccer team (or the like). And living/working abroad for a couple of years (London? Moscow? Latin America?) might be fun as well??
