My favorite outdoor activities are hiking/backpacking, road biking and rock climbing. I don't do it every day, but I always look forward to biking to work. Everyone should try it at least once. I also enjoy swimming, running and snowboarding. I've been scuba diving a few times too, but it's been a few years now. I'm not a racer in these sports, I'm motivated more by the sense of exploration and excitement in trying new routes.
I do play dodgeball competitively though. I've been playing for a few years now and it never gets old. However, references to the dodgeball movie do sometimes get old (and I've even competed in Vegas).
Besides athletic stuff, I also enjoy travelling, experiencing adventures and seeing new foreign cities. I like trying to see places as a local would, rather than a tourist. The past few years I've travelled to a lot of epic national parks out west. Most recently I had a fun bear encounter in Yosemite.
I also love animals and hope to get a dog some day when my life is less hectic and I'm spending more time at home.
Driving in reverse - This also comes in handy for going the wrong way down those one way streets while still doing it semi-legally ;)
Movies: I enjoy a variety of genres of movies such as action, horror, thrillers and even a borderline chick flick like Titanic occasionally. My favorite overall movie is probably the ever quotable Pulp Fiction.
TV: I rarely watch sports on TV, except for occasional championship games (annual tradition for a Boston fan lately). I've managed to miss most modern television shows somehow and instead if I'm flipping channels I'll usually stop at one of these: Seinfeld, Archer, South Park/Family Guy/Simpsons. I'm particularly fond of the old Twilight Zone episodes too.
Books: Lately I have been reading nonfiction books on urban design, a random hobby of mine. I'm really interested in what makes cities walkable.
