I'm kind, trustworthy, clean, and have at least one other Boy Scout virtue. I'm also a happy cynic and sing in public. Put simply, I'm pretty happy with who and where I am in life: an intelligent, decent, fairly outgoing guy with a good sense of humor.

I'm not afraid to try new things: I've been an extra in three movies; spent 6 months performing in a melodrama & vaudeville show; been hang gliding over the Hawaiian coast; kayaked in the Gulf of Mexico; danced on the bow of a ship under the Golden Gate Bridge; been to Kenya on photo-safari; won a couple of dance contests, and have taken lindyhop classes from the man who invented the aerial.

However, my normal life is a bit more…normal: Dancing (Blues, Swing, Lindy Hop, Ballroom, Argentine Tango, Fusion), hanging out with friends, movies at the Drafthouse, live music at Antone's, working on pro bono websites, etc. That said, I'm always looking for new things to do. (Aside from feeding the raccoons who come by my apartment and taunting them with a laser pointer — http://www.youtube.com/czehner).

I've started taking photos again after a several year hiatus. I had my camera converted to be able to see infrared (not heat, just barely past visible red). I'm getting some fantastic black-and-whites. I should probably work on taking color photos as well. Hmm...

In terms of a relationship, I would like to find something long-term, but the way to find something long-term is to go out with a number of different people and see how well you "click."

I'm looking for someone who's VERY intelligent and loves to read for fun. A woman who's secure enough to make it on her own, but isn't afraid to ask for help. Someone who loves animals and helping others. Someone who has something to teach me. Someone who can laugh at herself, me, and other people. Someone who is passionate about something. Someone who can balance career and personal life and who appreciates a genuine gentleman.

Maybe I should have written this in bad haiku instead:

A fun, smart woman,

I'm figuring out long-term goals and am enjoying a web-design contract that I'm on. And, looking to find worthwhile people to date.

I'm also working on learning to say "no" to pro bono web design work (just not very well).

Reading, listening, backrubs, trivia, leading new follows, and having really bad photos taken of me while I dance.

That I exist? I honestly am 6 feet tall — or about 2" taller than many men who claim to be 6 feet. (Maybe in heels, buddy). I also have decent posture. Later they find out that I'm 5-10 years older than they thought I was…I have a baby face and am "young at heart." (That sounds so much nicer than "immature," don't you think?)

BOOKS: My apartment is decorated in "Early Disposable Bookcase" if that tells you anything. AUTHORS: Robert J. Sawyer, Harry Turtledove, Christopher Stasheff, Jim Butcher, Charles de Lint, Charlene Harris, Sarah Andrews. TITLES: Freakonomics, The Tipping Point, The Coming Plague, Survival of The Sickest...

MOVIES: I like most action blockbusters — The Mummy, Twister, ID4, etc. Beyond that, my tastes run the gamut: Home For The Holidays, Drop Dead Gorgeous, Secretary, Princess Bride, The Last Supper, Thank You For Smoking, Teeth, Real Genius, Van Wilder, PCU, Orgazmo, Shaun of the Dead, Better Off Dead, Saved, Alien, Aliens, Equilibrium, Fifth Element, Gattaca, Serenity…

TV: The Daily Show, The Tonight Show, All of the CSIs, BSG, Buffy, Dollhouse, Babylon 5, Firefly, Mythbusters…

MUSIC: I like songs as much as artists and I'm really into remakes. I have numerous versions of: As, Blackbird, Birdland, Fever, Stormy Monday Blues, and Audio Track 01 among others. As for artists: Sting, Peter Gabriel, Annie Lennox, Art of Noise, Big Daddy, Go West, Herbie Hancock, MC Hawking, Oingo Boingo, Raul Midon, Rockapella, Scatman John, Stevie Wonder, Thomas Dolby, etc…

FOOD: I'm a carnivore but some of my best friends are vegetarians. It's hard to mess up either Tex-Mex or Italian.

My great friends, music, animals, hot showers, blue skies, and Synthroid.

As for six things I COULD do without: people driving 50 mph in the fast lane on their cell phones, insomnia, people who don't fix their pets, morning DJs, bathroom mold, and the song "Lavender Coffin."

My friends, their relationship issues, my siblings, my pets, how to write a better profile, dancing, sex, politics, religion, science, life, love, death, computers, the environment, ice cream...pretty much anything but team sports. (Though I'll go see roller derby since my best friend's twin is a roller girl.)

Most Friday nights I can be found out blues dancing with friends or at a party somewhere...unless I'm traveling to dance somewhere else in the country. I do mix it up occasionally though, back in January I danced *fusion* in Las Vegas on a Friday night.

I'm genetically incapable of passing an animal without stopping to say hi.

And I often think that the right glasses on women can be incredibly sexy.
