I am an avid learner and I love to listen to people’s stories. I’ve
been told I’m someone people can open up to. I’m the kind of guy
who likes to tread many paths - I love art, come from a family of
artists, but I took sciences in university and am passionate about
I love the nerdy things in life - Doctor Who, speculative fiction,
board games, etc.
I’ve got a pitch-black sense of humour, but I’m not above making a
terrible pun. I’m a bundle of stereotype defying contradictions.
What I’m doing with my life
I’m a technology professional and full-time law student, I work
with non-profit organizations to help them be more awesome by using
I study corruption, resource management and conflict.
I value working on things that matter more than money - ideally,
you do too.
I’m really good at
I'm a very engaged listener - I'm present and focused in a way
others have a hard time doing.
I am good at putting voice to the thoughts of others in a way they
find pleasing or useful.
I'm also a pretty good cook and masseur.
The first things people usually notice about me
I make the kinds of jokes and remarks around strangers that most

Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

The six things I could never do without
internet, words, pen and paper, philosophy, humour
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How on earth I'm going to get caught up on my readings!

I'm sporadically self-employed, so some Friday nights I'm working.
Otherwise I'm probably hunched over my assigned reading material
Occasionally, though less often than I'd like, I can be found at a
pub or at a club.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
For whatever reason, I have a visceral response to embarrassment
scenes in movies and TVs to the point where I feel compelled to
change the channel or look away. Even merely awkward moments make
me cringe. It doesn't happen every time, but often enough for me to
think it abnormal.
I have lots of theories why this might be the case, but I'm not
You should message me if
You're looking for someone to have fun with in a variety of ways. I
like nights in watching movies but I also love to dance, drink and
carouse or go out on wilderness adventures, or just walk my
Being a card-carrying nerd, I like board games, video games etc.
However, I love the outdoors (who doesn't?), especially walking
with my dog.
So ideally I'm looking for someone mature, someone with a strong
sense of self.
Message me if you want to tell me your story, and maybe craft one
