I am an impassioned learner and I love to listen to people’s stories. I’ve been told I’m someone people can open up to. I’m the kind of guy who likes to tread many paths - I love art, come from a family of artists, but I took sciences in university and am passionate about it.

I’m an inveterate book-worm, but I can cavort on the dance floor shamelessly with the best of them. I love the nerdy things in life - Doctor Who, speculative fiction, video games, etc.

I’m a technology professional, I work with non-profit organizations to help them be more awesome by using new technology. I love what I do but I’m heading back to school...law school if I’m lucky. The most influential book in my formative years has to be Ender's Game; I know, stereotypical nerd fixation but it's true.

That said, affording my own dismissal through failure to include/exclude a specific item is not something I want to endorse, even implicitly.

thinking - really, I took cognitive science in uni, so it's a big deal for me.

I also obsess about problems, big and little. I compulsively attempt to solve things - it's just in my nature.

I'm sporadically self-employed, so some Friday nights I'm working. Otherwise I'm probably enjoying Netflix or a book and a decent single-malt.

Occasionally I can be found at a drinking establishment debating existentialism or at a club dancing.

For whatever reason, I have a visceral response to embarrassment scenes in movies and TVs to the point where I feel compelled to change the channel or look away. Even merely awkward moments make me cringe. It doesn't happen every time, but often enough for me to think it abnormal.

I have lots of theories why this might be the case, but I'm not really certain.

You're looking for someone to have fun with in a variety of ways. I like nights in watching movies but I also love to dance, drink and carouse.

Being a card-carrying nerd, I like board games, video games etc. I love the outdoors, especially walking with my dog but I also like shopping (I’m a fun, if brutally honest, shopping buddy!).

So ideally I’m looking for someone who likes that sort of thing. Someone mature, someone with a strong sense of self.
