The Dallas area has been home to me for most of my life. Even though I was born in Cali, I still consider myself a Texan. I guess I believe in the saying: I wasn’t born in Texas, but I got here as fast as I could! :)

Growing up in the area, I spent most of my time focusing on school and softball. I played softball for twelve years of my life, both league ball and high school ball. I miss it and would love to find someone to toss a ball around with and pitch to. I also have been focused on academics my entire life.

I graduated from Texas Wesleyan University in December of '07 with a degree in education. I teach 6th grade English to a bunch of crazy twelve year olds. They’re silly and sometimes stress me out, but my kids totally rock! My days are never the same, and I’m always cracking up and the random “things” that come out of their mouth. Although I’m only about three months into school, I have many, many stories. :)

As for my “spare time” when I’m not grading essays, I like. . . going out to eat - eating is good for you. Baking - from the box. . .maybe I’ll graduate to “from scratch.” Watching romantic comedies or thrillers - I have an affinity for awwww-ing and AHHHH-ing during movies. Reading - when I have time! Bowling - I suck, but oh well, it’s still fun. :) Ice skating - I can stay on my feet! Shopping - I’m a girl, so this is self-explanatory. Playing with Max - my cat is a goober. Looking up random facts on Wikipedia – I can be random, so this is normal for me. Napping – I miss those days of napping after class, so I crash on the weekends. “Dolling up” – I get in those moods where I like to dress up, spend an hour on my hair and makeup, and going out just because. Curling up – on the couch, that is, and preferably with someone to cuddle with.
