book hall of fame: the golden compass, a handmaid's tale, the neverending story, oryx and crake (the whole maddaddam trilogy tbh). chimamanda ngozi adichie's 'americanah' was my favorite book of last year. working on 'station eleven' and 'dune' now. pretty much anything that involves the word "dystopia," i'm down.

movies: amélie, matilda, that thing you do!, spirited away, superbad, almost famous. almost every superhero movie i've ever seen.

tv: black mirror (!), the fall, x-files, game of thrones, orphan black, star trek: TNG

my music diet changes constantly (it's literally my job) but miles davis's 'kind of blue,' joni mitchell's 'blue,' frank ocean's 'channel orange,' and amy winehouse's 'back to black' are four of my all-time favorite records. i also have been listening to 'the pinkprint' pretty much nonstop since december...so i'm into colors, i guess.
The six things I could never do without

i have quite a lot of my life figured out right now. not super interested in dating anyone who's still "finding himself." ain't got the time.

otherwise, um, the trekkie thing?
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
- we matched (c'mon, son, i think you're hot, what do you have to lose?)

- you thought about your message for at least 60 seconds before you sent it

I'm gonna be honest, because that's what you're supposed to do here: I'm significantly more interested in dudes who are also in the media world. Not exactly proud of dating mainly in my field, but I can't deny the reality that explaining this silly, fucked-up little universe constantly is kinda exhausting.
