book nerd and endorphin junkie; can read novels and the ny review of books all day or go for a long ride- hopefully both. biking and skiing are lifelong joys, as are museums, extended travel. love to cook. just got all the sous vide gear, despite my ambivalence about using the all that plastic. love to discuss/explore art and culture. love many things.

i own a growing consulting firm in the non-profit space; also co-founder of a software company. do a lot of pro-bono work. really grooving on all the cool stuff happening-- working with some stellar people. i get to work on good causes and that makes me happy.

i haven't the faintest idea

authors: betrand russell; richard dawkins; jane austen; wallace stevens; lao-tzu; james howard kunstler; kafka; dostoyevsky-- there are a lot of them. i like books. have strong opinions about them. movies, music, and food are all great, but books-- that's a category of a different order entirely.

movies: i like everything from indie films to pretty mainstream stuff, as long as it has a good script. enjoy robert downey jr., edward norton. loved the deer hunter.

music: baroque (telemann, vivaldi, bach of course), gregorian chants (very relaxing), all the way up to gbv and massive attack. right now I'm listening to Washed Out repeatedly.

food: sushi. broke my heart to learn tuna is loaded with mercury. many things about our food system break my heart. my goal is to grow my own. but I'm bad at it. help.
