I am peculiar, passionate, and geeky.

My Self-Summary

I'm a science and gaming geek. I play RPGs, Video Games, and follow NCSE and Bad Astronomy. Dr. Who is my personal (time) lord and savior. I enjoy deep and insightful conversations mixed with random fluff, and tend to have a very eccentric sense of humor. I find the word "banana" to be hilarious. I quote movies and stupid youtube videos when the mood strikes me.

Enneagram-wise, I'm a 2, possibly winging 1. I'm a little bit of a romantic, but I don't usually let it show too much at first. Depending on the day and the test, Meyers-Briggs pegs me as an INFP or an ENFP. After a lot of soul searching, I've decided to come out as a closet atheist.

I also like pie. Mmm, pie.

What I’m doing with my life

I'm currently in college studying to be a teacher. My goal is to teach high school biology, though honestly I'm not so naive as to think Bio is what I'll end up teaching. I'd be happy with any of the sciences.

I’m really good at

"really good at" is a pretty relative term, after all's said and done. I think I'm pretty darn smart and good at whatever I set my mind and passion to, but there are those smarter and more adept than me in any field.

And really, I think that's nifty.

The first things people usually notice about me

My bipedal nature.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Disclaimer: these are not my absolute favorites all the time (since they change from year to year or in some cases moment to moment), but a few I like that I think could be interesting to talk about.

Books: I recently finished reading the Codex Alara series and found it very interesting. I'd love to chat with anyone about it since it's fairly fresh in my mind. At present my book queue is empty, so if you have a book suggestion for me, let me have it!

Movies: Dead Poets Society, Moulin Rouge, Stranger Than Fiction, Zombieland, Repo: The Genetic Opera

Music: Tokio Hotel, Billy Joel, Dave Matthew's Band, Bowling for Soup, Weird Al Yankovich

Games: (Video Games) Dragon Age: Origins, Brutal Legend, Rock Band 2, Borderlands (RPGS) Demon: The Fallen, Werewolf: The Apocalypse, Legend of the Five Rings, Paranoia (Board/Card games) Ninja Burger, Arkham Horror, Android

TV Shows: Glee, Buffy: The Vampire Slayer, Supernatural, Dollhouse, V isn't a favorite, but it's new and I still don't know what to make of it, so I'd be interested in chatting about this series for the time being.

The six things I could never do without

1. My Friends
2. Science! (Exclamation point necessary. It's a verb now!)
3. My Computer
4. Extraordinary days.
5. Laughter
6. Compelling Stories, be they in movies, books, or a tall tale related from one friend to another.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Science! Because science is really cool, yo.

I also think of, well, whatever else happens to come to mind. My thoughts go all over the place, and I'd really prefer it that way. I find I have trouble relating to people who spend all their time thinking about one topic and one topic only, because there's so much out there in so many different fields that's absolutely phenominal that I think I'd miss out on something amazing if I focused on one thing to the exclusion of all others.

On a typical Friday night I am

Doing the same thing I do every night. Trying to take over the world.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I've always wanted a monkey.

You should message me if

- You're local and are a person of passion, intelligence, and wit.

- You're NOT local but share an interest that you'd like to discuss.
