I am a strawberry blond with dark blue/green eyes, fair skin, and an infectious giggle that I love to use as often as I possibly can (I love to laugh!). I was born and raised in Dearborn, MI. Consequently, my rather large number of close friends have diverse backgrounds and cultures, which always makes hanging out together fun and interesting. I play the violin, the viola, and some percussion, and would like to start learning the mandolin and guitar soon. In retrospect, I suppose it would be accurate to categorize myself as a geek with a profound love for science fiction (I'm a trekky...but a hot one, haha)...but please don't stereotype me just yet! I'm a perfectly lovely, kind, fun-loving person with a wide range of interests. For example, though I've never actually played an organized sport, I would have loved to have been on a softball team. Baseball, Hockey, Basketball, Football...I enjoy watching all of them. Magglio Ordonez is my Tiger!

I absolutely LOVE to travel! The two places I currently want to see the most are Ireland and Peru (to climb Machu Pichu!). I have been all over the continental U.S. - from the Beaches of California, to the lone star state, to the magical world of Disney, to Times Square in New York City.... but I still have plenty of places to visit. I also spent three weeks on a study abroad trip in the Dominican Republic studying Caribbean Geography and the impact tourism has on the country's economy. And lastly, I've been to Europe twice: Paris and Berlin.

Other interests: good food, star-gazing, history, movies, art, exercising, animals, board games, hiking, long walks with my ipod...

I try to avoid discussing politics and religion unless I'm well acquainted with the other person(s). They can be heated topics for some people. In a nutshell: I tend to lean liberally and I'm agnostic.

Things I pride myself on: my honesty, my tolerance, my kindness, my open mind, my affectionate nature...

Pets: I have a Map Turtle named Bootstrap, and two adorable Daschund brothers!

I'm at the point in my life where I'm looking for someone to potentially spend the rest of my life with...someone to have by my side through all of my adventures...someone I can start a family with eventually...to love unconditionally... :) or just to meet a new friend! That's always good too!!
