My self-summary
I pride myself on my intellect. You could certainly consider me a geek, and that's quite alright by me. I can't really claim to be all that knowledgeable about art; nor do I really seek it out, but I definitely appreciate it. I would have no problem supporting a woman who was an artist of some sort. Although I don't go all that often, I enjoy visiting art museums. A couple of artists that I dig are Salvador Dali and Joel Peter Witkin.
I enjoy reading & talking about philosophy, ancient history, Jungian/Analytical psychology, sociology, genetics, biology, religion, mythology and sciences of all sorts, as well as any other subject I can manage to wrap my head around. To give you an idea of the kinds of things I read & think a good deal about; I have a penchant for reading ancient religious texts so I can try and understand why humanity has insisted on believing in such non-sense for so long. I also find it interesting that there were so many different, competing ideas on what it meant to be a christian, and how Christianity should be thought of & defined. The history surrounding the process of deciding & codifying what would be considered 'orthodox christiantiy', who those people were who made those decisions, as well as how it eventually won out over the other competing 'non-orthodox' ideologies that existed in the first few centuries after Jesus' death is something I find fascinating. I have this same desire in understanding all the organized religions of the world, both dead and those still in practice, though I'm most knowledgeable of early Christianity and how it came about. I also have an interest in dead languages such as ancient Latin, Greek, Hebrew, Aramaic, Sumerian, Egyptian Hieroglyphs, et cetera. I've not been very successful in teaching myself anything other than a few words and phrases, but I would love to take some classes in them.
I was born with a birth defect called Spina Bifida, and I've had over 30 surgeries so far in my life, including having my right leg amputated below the knee. As a result I get around using a wheelchair or crutches. Consequently, I'm not the most active or outdoorsy person since I'm not able to spend great periods of time away from civilization. Spending a nite or two somewhere remote is probably doable but beyond that isn't a viable option for me.
I'm an avid listener and seeker of new music of most any style, and I'm quite proud of my collection of 500+ albums which in terms of genre and style run the gamut. I also enjoy going to concerts when I can make it, which is not nearly as often as I'd like these days.
I love to read both fiction & non-fiction, especially history and science, and I'm not averse to learning new things. Wikipedia for the win! I'm also a pretty romantic guy. I don't consider myself overly sappy or anything, I'm just in tune with my feelings and very comfortable with expressing them.
I'm a staunch libertarian and atheist, and I enjoy some drug use [smoking marijuana and taking hallucinogens]. I imagine that sorta thing might be deal breakers for some; so I'm letting it be known that I'm into that from the start. I just hope I don't get my door kicked in by the fuzz in the middle of the nite. I also enjoy playing video games & computer games, and I also have a desire to play pen & paper D&D.
What I’m doing with my life
Spending the next couple of weeks on *complete* bed rest, while I recuperate from a muscle flap I had done on the 13th of August.
I’m really good at
Working with computers. I can build them as well as do a little programming; I also know a pretty good deal about networking and linux.
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm pretty sure the first thing people notice about me is that I was born with Spina Bifida. After that, I hope the next thing or two that gets noticed is that I'm intelligent and well-spoken. I really have no way of knowing what others first notice about me, since I don't make a habit of asking people. Perhaps I should start.

I spend a lot of time thinking about
Why people still believe in god, or still follow any organized religion of any type when it's clearly a useless & foolish endeavor. I also spend lots of time trying to understand why in the hell drugs, gambling, & prostitution are illegal. As a libertarian, the decriminalization of drugs/gambling/prostitution is important to me. The majority, if not all of the negative issues and effects associated with, & surrounding those behaviors could be completely mitigated or gotten rid of, if we simply decriminalized the activities, it's such an obvious solution that it very much bothers me that we allow things to continue on the path that they're on now with them remaining illegal. It's downright shameful & ignorant. Apparently nobody remembers how much of an epic fail prohibition was back in the 20s for alcohol, or that it's still an epic fail today as applied to drugs, gambling & prostitution. As of late I've been rather lonely and I'd like to try and find myself a nice gal to fall in love with and grow old along side. I also spend time thinking about ancient history, or living in an ancient or medieval society, especially ancient Greece or Rome, or the Dark Ages. I spend a great deal of time people watching & thinking about how they interact with one another, & trying to understand their interpersonal interactions with others, as well as what drives them on an intrapersonal level in terms of psychology & sociology.
On a typical Friday night I am
Usually at home playing video games with my brother these days. Sometimes I go downtown to see some music and drink some alcohol.
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 21–35
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For new friends, long-term dating
You should message me if want to get together and play some D&D, especially if can DM. can accept my libertarian views, particularly as regards drugs & drug use; though it's true that I care about all libertarian views equally, not just the ones that pertain to the decriminalization of drugs/prostitution/gambling. I'm a staunch believer in small government & limited government as well as states rights and individual liberty over federal authority, where the U.S. Constitution says it's appropriate. can accept that I'm an atheist with little love for organized religion, as well as little love for people who insist on believing in said organized religions. I'm afraid I'd just end up thinking you were an idiot. consider yourself a rational woman; I'm not really a fan of irrational thoughts or behavior, although I understand it happens from time to time.'re a gal who wears glasses. I find that so very attractive. It exudes hotness and intelligence.'d like to try and get seriously involved [assuming we get along as friends, since I firmly believe that any serious relationship needs the foundation of a good friendship to make it].'d like to just hang out and be friends, engaging in witty banter over coffee or drinks; I'm all for that even though my ultimate desire is to find someone to be with for the rest of my life.
