My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
A random brain dump of things that make me who I am: I value being different, and unique, but neither for their own sake. I think all food is finger food. I wear boots most days, and to most occasions. I'll sleep when I'm dead. Sleaze is the best kind of music. I do my best to never say no. Home Owner's Associations and computer mice piss me off. I travel often. I have a hard time dealing with negativity. I'm an introvert. I still have a baby tooth. I communicate better with noises and pictures than I do with words. My celebrity crush is Lariyah Daniels. I wear glasses and skinny jeans, and listen to bands you've never hear of, but I swear I'm not a hipster. I talk with my hands, even when I'm on the phone.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
The older I get, the more I find the marginal utility of money is decreasing while the marginal utility of time is increasing. As a result, I'm on a mission to reach financial independence as soon as possible, through a combination of frugality, minimalism, and the generation of passive income through investments. I also want to leave a charitable trust behind when I die.

This topic can be contentious, and/or complicated, but I would be happy to discuss it with anyone who is genuinely curious.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Making chili.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'd have to assume my large nose, but most people are too polite to say so. Instead, I usually get comments on my hair or eyes first.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: The Complete Works of O. Henry, The Dirt, It Can't Happen Here, The Piano Tuner, Your Money or Your Life, Looking Backward 2000-1887, Walden on Wheels

Also, here are some blogs I've read "cover to cover" that have changed my life: Mr. Money Mustache, ERE, New Escapologist, Raptitude, Dividend Manta.

Movies: Sci-fi, exploitation, most Tim Burton & short films. Truth be told, though, I don't usually enjoy watching movies - I always find they're either too short, or too long relative to the actual story. If you want to play a fun drinking game, you should message me with titles of movies you think everyone has seen. If I haven't seen it, I drink. If I have, you drink. Deal?

TV shows: Parks & Recreation, Star Trek TNG, Scrubs, most anything on HBO, Breaking Bad, Hell On Wheels, Community

Music: Sleaze

Food: I will try anything once, but it's hard to top a good burrito. I also like beets.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Coffee, cheese, sleaze (the music), boots, tequila, good friends.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
The future and food. Sometimes both at the same time.

Also, financial independence.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
If there's a good concert, I'm there. Otherwise, sometimes I'm out and about with friends all night, and other times I'm home alone, unwinding from the week.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have a Christina Aguilera song in regular rotation on my iPod.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You're hungry so we can go get a bite to eat. Or if you want to play the movie drinking game with me. Or you want to swap frugality tips and investing strategies. Or if you also like beets, because let's face it, people who like beets are awesome, but rare.
