Time to rewrite my whole profile once again. I am what my friends would say a extremely friendly and nice guy.

I am horrible at holding grudges and see the best in people (or if they are truly horrible passable qualities about them). I am currently back in school again after close to 4 years doing History. I formerly was taking Linguistics years before this current stretch. I love being involved in my community and have worked my way into the local arts community through booking of concerts. I also do a weekly radio show up at the UVic radio station.

I am an avid collector of vinyl records and movies. I love viewing film and discussing it with friends. I try to get out of Victoria whenever I can afford it. This usually leads to short trips to Vancouver and Seattle but last year also saw an escape to LA. I really love hosting parties and just seeing the joy from friends. I know way to many people and am horrible with names of people I should know by now.

I have strong morals and ideals given to me from my upbringing as well as my involvement with DIY communities. I will not tolerate sexist, racist, or homophobic remarks. I greatly respect a person's relationship to faith and what they believe despite not identifying with one myself. It provides a strong pillar in many friends lives. I view myself as a left wing socialist and actually follow Canadian politics.

As mentioned above. I am attending school, hosting a radio show, booking concerts and I failed to mention I also have a job. I somehow find time to spend with friends and watching movies.

I like to think now that my skill is hosting events. I have had a lot of practice with shows and since then parties/dances. Maybe not, the rare time I actually get around to baking friends rave about whatever baked good I make. Perhaps they are merely being nice?

I have a beard. I shrug a lot. I really do shrug a lot. I have a few friends that like to bug me about my mannerisms.

Culture is a very important part of my life be it literature, music or movies. Below will be the "typical list" stuff but I am not limited to these and have literal wide range on everything.

I rarely have time to read but over the past few years these are the books that I couldn't put down. Virgin Suicides, High Fidelity, Brothers Karamazov, Homage to Catalonia, Fear and Trembling, Lolita, Rebel Angels, Fifth Business, East of Eden.

Movies are my current love. I have started getting into collecting Criterion Collection movies. I guess you could say I am into "Art Films" for the most part. I do enjoy stupid comedies as well as my roommate calls them. There are quite a few living directors that if they put out a movie I would be there opening night in Victoria. Sofia Coppola, Steve McQueen, Lars Von Trier, Wes Anderson, Paul Thomas Anderson, Noah Baumbach, Whit Stillman to name a few.

Music is the toughest category to talk about on here. I find when I am viewing other people's profiles it is usually where I judge a person most. So maybe I feel that is where the most judgement comes from on a profile. I have the most horrible elitist attitude here and am about to put out the most cliched statement ever. I enjoy good music in all genres. Key part there is good. If it is well done it can have an impact on me.
About 60% of my music on my computer would be considered "loud" or "aggressive." This music here may have defined me most but it is not what I am limited to aurally. I dabble in Jazz, have placed a finger into classical. My roommate plans to get me into some old country. I listen to indie pop and rock and some electronic stuff. Hardcore punk has my heart but so does super cheesy pop music with songs like "Call Me Maybe"

TV I generally watch sitcoms and TV dramas. I watched all of LOST and as captivated by that. Currently waiting for Community and Mad Men's new seasons. Up to date on How I Met Your Mother. Formerly and still love super nerdy things like: Buffy, Angel, Farscape, Sliders, and various others.

I am currently vegetarian but have no aversion to meat. I will not partake but I will not judge or make remarks about someone else's personal dietary choices. I can cook meat meals.
