My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm living in Dublin at the moment doing a job I really like and life is starting to come together after what was an initial reluctance to join the real world post secondary school. Have toured the world and done the Australia thing that is the new rite of passage for every 20-something Irish person. Loved my time travelling and hope that my trans-global travelling days are not behind me. Although I didn't apply myself too diligently in college, I somehow managed to get myself a nice pensionable job and bought my own apartment a couple of years ago. One piece missing in the jigsaw and I guess that's why I'm on here. Not brave enough to put up a proper photo yet but if your interested I'd be willing to swap pics privately.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm eight years in the financial services industry (BOO, HISS!!). I enjoy swimming, football, running and mountainbiking and try my best to fit all of them in an otherwise hectic life.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Spelling, keepy-uppys, snowboarding. I become a dance maestro after seven pints but unfortunately my superhuman dance ability disappears when the alcohol wears out. Did I mention table quizzes. Credit Union quiz champion back in the day and was utterly brilliant at blackboard jungle. Find university challenge much tougher however.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Besides my scary handsomeness - some fathers shield their daughters eyes in my presence so they don't get unrealistic expectations about the male gender - and razor sharp intellect, I have unusually red cheeks that people sometimes remark upon.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Food is my kryptonite. I'm fussy like a 3 year old. Avoid restaurants at times due to my finnickiness but am a fairly typical Irish male when it comes to what makes me drool gastronomically. Steak and mash all the way.

With regards movies, I have a fairly alternative taste and enjoy foreign movies as well as the standard guy movie fare. Y Tu Mama Tambien, The Counterfeiters, City of God, The Lives of Others, Dead Man's Shoes, This is England, Enron, Wall-E, The Dark Knight, Ironman and Schindlers List are among my very favourites but I know I'm leaving some of my favourites out... oh yeah Superbad and Borat.

I really enjoy watching boxsets and have a few firm favourites. The Sopranos, The Wire, Breaking Bad, Band of Brothers, Mad Men, Game of Thrones, Louis CK, Luck, Boardwalk Empire, The Thick of It, Generation Kill, Parks and Recreation, The Office, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Arrested Development, Peep Show and Grand Designs. Okay, more than a few and I'm a complete TV addict.

Tunes I listen to most on my iPod are Jay-z's Blueprint, Kings of Leon, The National, Bon Iver, Arcade Fire (No1 Fave Band), Ray LaMontagne, Fleetfoxes, Bob Dylan, Jeff Buckley, M83 and Damien Rice.

Reading is my favourite way to spend me-time. Love everything by David Mitchell, Cormac McCarthy, Phillip Roth, Haruki Murakami, Donna Tartt and Ian McEwan. I would read anything from Jane Austen to Chuck Pahlaniuk. Hot tip: Read Netherland by Joseph O'Neill and The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao by Junot Diaz. Two of the best contemporary novels I've ever read.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
MacBook Pro
My Car
Chef brown sauce
Swimming
Kindle
Iphone
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Does running barefoot really prevent injuries or is it just a fad? Am I really the same species as Michael Phelps, Keninesa Bekele and Lionel Messi? Why isn't organ donation opt out instead of opt in? Is Nature more important than nurture? When do we finally get Back to the Future style hoverboards? Why do the Finns and South Koreans seem to do so well in so many important measurements i.e. Education standards, Olympic games medals per capita, standard of living?
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Friday night used to be drinks night. The usual plan was straight out after work for a pint or twenty, which inevitably ended up with a late night boogey in one of Dublin's finest drinking emporiums. Not always Copper Face Jacks. Now, unfortunately, swimming training falls on a Friday so I'm usually in a pool feeling jealous of my friends. I usually make up for it on a Saturday night though.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I pride myself on being a complete television snob but do have some guilty pleasures. I regularly watch The Only Way is Essex, Geordie Shore, Made in Chelsea and The Valleys. Shaaaaaame.

You're chilled out and drama free and that you've read my profile and were not totally repulsed by my faux arrogance, cockiness and can look past my hideously embarrassing tv preferences.

I want someone I can trust and someone who is kind and sees the best in others. I love sport and the outdoors so I'd like someone who keeps in good shape and shares my interest in these.
