My self-summary
I left Chicago, went to Florida and now relocated to Austin as of now. I don't really know anyone here, so, let's be friends?

I'm into cooking, punk music, doing standup, tubing down rivers, putting on Thin Lizzy's Jailbreak on the jukebox before bar close, and then figuring out where the best late night burrito spot is in whatever city I'm currently in. Night swimming! I never knew the full appreciation of night swimming until I moved to Austin. Florida wasn't even nearly this bad.

I cook almost constantly, and when I do that I'm usually thinking of a recipe or doing stand-up. I currently work at a bourbon bar doing their food, I cook at another place, and I'm possibly starting a chef's apprenticeship under the chef at 34th street cafe. I absolutely love what I do, and don't ever want that to change.

My ultimate dream in life is that I want to one day open my own taqueria/hot sauce shop/venue. Wouldn't that be the greatest restaurant/venue ever? Think about it. I also want to set up this kitchen as a dual brigade. Where one side will do meat dishes and one side completely vegetarian for no cross contamination. I think it's a great kitchen concept idea.

I'm on the never ending quest for certaintea.

I also realized I will never get tired of sappy pop punk songs about pizza, beer, heartbreak, girls, boys and whatever else.
What I’m doing with my life
I guess I'm unsure of what I really want to do in the future, but right now I'm enjoying life as much as I can. I guess I know that what I want to do in the future involves making awesome food all the time and telling stupid jokes.

"What can I say about the last five years with a dead blank stare and an empty beer?"
I’m really good at
Going to shows and having a good time. I guess I'm really good at making food. I really don't know what I'm that good at honestly. I don't really spend time awarding myself with compliments about things I've probably never did that well at in the first place.

I also enjoy writing jokes all the time, and I like to think I'm good at it, but that's more than up for discussion. I like to do stand up whenever and wherever I can because it's always a fun time.
The first things people usually notice about me
My ability to be extremely outgoing and I can talk to anyone at any time and anywhere. Sometimes this does get me into trouble though.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I'm a fan of Kerouac, William S. Burroughs, Ginsberg, Bukowski, and others. Also, I do realize I'm a nerd for the beat generation, and I'm quite okay with it.

I'm a fan of pop punk and punk related music such as descendents, dillinger four, the arrivals, toys that kill, bent outta shape, underground railroad to candyland, banner pilot, iron chic, latterman, mean jeans, scared of chaka, tiltwheel, the dopamines, and tons more. I also enjoy folk/blues/indie, I'm open to all types of music.

When it comes to food, I'm at a loss for the decision between pizza or a burrito. Life is hard sometimes when it comes to deciding between the two.

I guess movies you could say I'm really into the Evil Dead trilogy and the horror genre in general. I'm all about cheesy horror movies. I also like comedies/thrillers/dramas. I guess it really depends on the mood I'm in? Weekend at Bernies 1 and 2, as well as wayne's world 1 and 2.

Tv Shows: Shameless, Arrested Development, Parks and Recreation, 30 Rock, Portlandia, Breaking Bad, Eastbound and Down, The Simpsons, King of the Hill
The six things I could never do without
Jokes,
music,
burritos,
writing,
beer,
and whiskey
I spend a lot of time thinking about
In the words of D4: "So, I sat there drinking more thinking about drinking more."
On a typical Friday night I am
Wondering what the hell happened to Steve? I heard he doesn't party no more.

I'm probably at either a show, a party or a bar.

When someone gets the Steve comment, I'm pretty sure we'll be best friends.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I have a Bruce Campbell tattoo, and that's not my most embarrassing tattoo.

I used to be an avid hot sauce collector, and at one point I had nearly 60 different types of gourmet hot sauces. I had a hot sauce for nearly every different food I could think of. It was intense.

Also, I'm pretty sure I recall a sad Lauryn Hill song playing in the back of my head as I was leaving a city one time. That's the only real embarrassing thing I have to say for the internet.
