I'm into cooking, punk music, doing standup, tubing down rivers, putting on Thin Lizzy's Jailbreak on the jukebox before bar close, and then figuring out where the best late night burrito spot is in whatever city I'm currently in. Night swimming! I never knew the full appreciation of night swimming until I moved to Austin. Florida wasn't even nearly this bad.
I cook almost constantly, and when I do that I'm usually thinking of a recipe or doing stand-up. I currently work at a bourbon bar doing their food, I cook at another place, and I'm possibly starting a chef's apprenticeship under the chef at 34th street cafe. I absolutely love what I do, and don't ever want that to change.
My ultimate dream in life is that I want to one day open my own taqueria/hot sauce shop/venue. Wouldn't that be the greatest restaurant/venue ever? Think about it. I also want to set up this kitchen as a dual brigade. Where one side will do meat dishes and one side completely vegetarian for no cross contamination. I think it's a great kitchen concept idea.
I'm on the never ending quest for certaintea.
