My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
*note* I live in LA and will be returning in Nov or Dec. I got into a minor accident and injured my arm so I'm healing up with family in CT. I'd like to meet cool people to hang out with while I'm here, especially if you know New Haven. Now back to my regular scheduled profile...

I say, "Get as much long term happiness as you can." The best way to make that happen is to just be open to new a different experiences. One night I'm dancing my face off at a Justice concert, the next day I'm starting a new side project, or signing up for Improv classes. The things I do for fun, my friends and my life in are really diverse. I think new experiences and connecting with other human beings are the points to life.

I'm drawn to people who have a good sense of who they are and what they're passionate about. That's way better than having the same Ipod playlist or something. Besides that I find kindness, quirkiness, smarts, and not taking yourself too seriously to all be very attractive qualities.

Having a good sense of humor and an ability to be (at least a little) silly is seriously important. I love to joke around with people and have them joke back. See how this paragraph ironially lacks any jokes? That's the opposite of what I go for ;)

Disclaimer: If you're faint of heart skip this paragraph
I may or may not have a slight secret nerdy side. Maybe not enough to revoke my 'cool young-adult street cred', but I did study (and enjoy) math, love to read books, and my desk holds a cryptography book and a menagerie of figurines. So there's that.

Anyway, life is more fun (and meaningful) when you have someone to share with. My life is an adventure; it’d be even more amazing to share it with someone.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Planning for the inevitable zombie apocalypse (You'll really want me on your team when it happens. Trust me). But until then I have great job, an amazing group of friends, and a crazy awesome life.

Also going to a lot of concerts and shows on the side. I love live music.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Knowing when to work hard and when to slack like a champion. Besides that...

Cooking, reading, massages, hiking / running, picking ties, hand stand push-ups, not being judgemental, getting REALLY lost, math, ju jitsu, general problem solving, movie watching, staying up for ridiculous periods of time (that one is basically a super power).
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm animated and am prone to saying ridiculous things that I sometimes believe.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I really love to read. My favorite book is 1984; the ending was devastating and incredible! Besides here are a few random books on my shelf right now: Brave New World, Less than Zero, Wicked, Of Mice and Men, Fight Club, The Great Gatsby.

When it comes to food I eat everything... except okra. No okra!! Though I'm really partial to asian cuisine (vietnamese, thai, malaysian, and sushi). I'm also a great cook. After living with a vegetarian roommate for a while I've learned to cook some really good veggie dishes.

Moving Pictures with Sound:
Futurama is the best TV show ever. If you can't laugh at Fry being his own grandfather or don't get teary eyed about his dog, we might not get along. Breaking Bad is also awesome.

I don't really have a favorite type of movie; if it's good, I'll watch it. Obligatory list: The Life Aquatic, Dr Horrible's Sing-along Blog, The Prestige, Tucker and Dale vs Evil, Dawn of the Dead (1978), The Fountain, Aliens, Inception, Reservoir Dogs, Lost in Translation, American Psycho and The Fellowship of the Ring.

I Love Music (Click one and enjoy):
The Beatles, The Shins, Paper Diamond, Justice, MGMT, Miles Fisher, Paul Simon, Knife Party, Weezer, Modest Mouse, Modest Mussorgsky, Beethoven, AWOLnation, Zeds Dead, They Might Be Giants, X, Willie Nelson, David Bowie, Billy Joel (yes, I said it), The Naked and Famous, Emancipator, M83
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1) Friends
2) Music
3) Books
4) Living in an area where having 10 Thai restaurants, 5 Indian places, and 2 Pho joints within a 5 mile radius is normal
5) Exercise (mostly so I can eat more)
6) A computer (obvious I know)

I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How can I make money and contribute something useful to the world at the same time? (side note: art or anything that makes people happy is useful)

Why is Ron Perlman my favorite actor?
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
The same thing we do every night, Pinky. Try to take over the world!

Mostly chilling with my awesome friends. That varies week to week. We go to concerts, go camping, sneak flasks into really expensive bars, make dinner themed to a movie (eg make crab cakes; watch Jaws), or whatever else we're feeling at the time. Basically, we enjoy life.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
When I turn 75 I'll look exactly like the old Benjamin Button. Unfortunately, that doesn't mean I look like Brad Pitt now. Sorry ladies.
