Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I am a fun-loving, happy person who is pursuing my passions. I
embrace happiness and openness, and enjoy being active.
I am drawn to self-awareness, growth and taking responsibility for
my emotional well-being and continue that journey daily. I focus on
self-growth and awareness and seek that in another. I wish for that
in a fun-loving and spiritual partner, even if we are on
separate/different paths. I have pursued a great deal of
soul-searching, find that very interesting and helpful in
negotiating life. I am told that I am an energetic and youthful 61.
I do not dye my hair, I take after my Mom who just has gray at her
I am looking for a long-term joyfriend (!) to be active with:
travel, camp, fish, bicycle, walk, dance, PLAY! I'd love to see the
12 states in the U.S. that I have not yet been to. Up for road
trips, or trips abroad. If we meet I will tell you about my current
plan to get on the road, in comfort and at about 20 or more mpg.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Freestyle/conscious dance, meditation, time in nature: hiking,
biking, walking. Five years ago my husband of 26 years died
suddenly, so I have learned from that to live in the present, enjoy
each moment and that now is the time to pursue interests. Embracing
life fully! Looking at traveling more. Going for it!
Singing with 8 other men and women in an a capella group: pop,
jazz, classical, Broadway, sappy 40s love songs.
I am currently in a year-long leadership program, based on the
conscious dance Soul Motion. Tricky to explain, but if you have
ever tried freestyle dance, you will more easily understand.
I visit the Seattle area regularly, as my Mom resides now in
Redmond....and I still have family in Kirkland, where I spent my
childhood. I also visit Portland, great dance community there and
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Being playful and passionate...and COMpassionate.
Singing harmoniously. Living harmoniously!
Loving up my loved ones in many different ways, especially by
aiming for unconditional love and appreciating their unique
Communicating, even about the difficult or touchy subjects
(essential in my mind, for a deep and fulfilling relationship)
The first things people usually notice about me

I enjoy looking on the brighter side of life. I am friendly and
like to hear people's stories; there is always a story. I try not
to take myself too seriously, and do like to have fun: dancing and
making music are very meaningful to me. I am joyously dotty!
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I am a foodie....love all types of ethnic foods. Feel great about
eating well, buying locally grown foods.
Love lots of types of music, even country! Fond of classic 60s, 70s
rock, jazz: traditional and out-there, pop, folk.
I am blissfully TV-free, too many fun things/people/places to go to
sit much. Do like snuggling up on the couch and watching
Read primarily self-awareness focused books, upbeat non-fiction by
people who have made a difference; Pema Chodron, Thich Nhat
Study texts and philosophies of Kashmir Shaivism, a type of Eastern
MUCH HAS BEEN SAID
Much has been said about the eternal and untouchable nature of
love, its tidal ungovernable forces and its emergence from beyond
the ordinary, but love may find its fullest, most imagined and most
courageous form when it leaves the abstractions and safety of the
timeless, the eternal and the untouchable to make its promises
amidst the fears, vulnerabilities and disappearances of our
difficult, touchable and time bound world. To love and to witness
love in the face of possible loss and to find the mystery of love's
promise in the shadow of that loss, in the shadow of the ordinary
and in the shadow of our own inevitable disappearance may be where
the eternal source of all of our origins stands in awe of the full
consequences of everything it has set in motion.

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Healthy veggies and fruit, yes to chicken, fish , beef
Dear friends and family members
Good health and fitness
Freestyle dancing (in which a partner is not needed!)
Music, listening to and especially singing
Time in nature: Walking, hiking, biking, camping. Beaches, trails,
Laughter, wackiness, wittiness, puns. Exclamation points!!!
(I like the number 7!)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Adventures and travel to pursue. Wondering if I may relocate in a
few years, following retirement. Portland, OR!? Kindness,
compassion, wackiness, fitness and NOT THINKING!
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Out and about at one of the fun or arty or interesting events in
Port Townsend....or making music with friends, or dancing. Or
staying in Kirkland. Or dinner in after a long week, or a walk on
the beach. Seeing a play at the local public theatre. Visiting
Portland or Olympia for a weekend dance workshop.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
