Beyond the artsy things, I'm a programmer by trade. I don't just like writing software at work, though. I wrote all the code for my own website and I've recently started trying to dig into entrepreneurship opportunities. Mostly I'm interested in learning how to think and brainstorm more effectively. I enjoy doing work that helps others and my job gives me a great outlet for that.
When I have free time I am usually putting my Netflix subscription through the paces or talking to friends over coffee or food. I'm a pretty big foodie and I think I've covered most of campus and downtown Ann Arbor. One of my favorite places to hang out is Mighty Good Coffee. It might be because it's right around the corner from my office and they're really nice to regulars. They could really use some more comfortable chairs, though.
I love traveling. I don't share the preoccupations some people have with planning itineraries and booking guides, and it works well for me. I went to Japan in September and, with the right planning, I was able to meet incredible people and see sides of Tokyo I think many people aren't fortunate enough to visit!
If I had to distill who I am into some buzzwords, that list would include words like honest, caring, and reliable. It wouldn't include words like bro, jerkface, or highfalutin'. I try to get along with absolutely everyone if I can, without letting people take advantage of me. Like-minded folks who enjoy people's company and have mad self-respect are da bestest.
