My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Oh my baby don't be so distressed
We're done with politesse
It's time to be so brutally honest about
The way we know we long for something fine
When we pine for higher ceilings
And bourgeois happy feelings

ENTJ. Science nerd. Beer connoisseur. Amateur photographer. Cinephile. Volunteer firefighter. Socially AND fiscally-liberal political nobody.

Interests: Sailing, photography, skiing, traveling, modern architecture, gadgets, income inequality, and environmental conservation.

I don't take the "dating" element of online dating very seriously. That said, I'm totally down to have a friendly meet & greet over drinks or coffee and at the very least, make a new friend. I'm totally open to any and all outcomes, but at the same time I'm practically pessimistic when it comes to the idea of finding a significant other online.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I work in the Environmental Health and Safety office of a small state college. As I work full time, I'm also working on a second bachelors. Here and there, I work as a paid EMT for a large public university in New Brunswick providing expensive taxi rides to the sick and injured (most of whom are drunk college freshmen). In addition to my career and educational pursuits, I'm a volunteer firefighter and EMT for Montgomery Township.

I have more hobbies than I can count. I would rather spend a Saturday or Sunday afternoon fixing computers, cars, and carrying out various home improvement projects than vegetating on the couch watching sports.

Traveling is also a very large part of my life. I tend to hoard my vacation days, never using them for anything other than getting away- FAR away. This year I've visited Lake Tahoe, Quebec, Berlin, Munich, Rome, Perugia, and Prague. Some time within the next 5 years I'd also like to visit San Francisco, Portland, Seattle, Chicago, London, Dublin, Amsterdam, Switzerland, Japan, Hong Kong, and Australia.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Books: Fantasy, science-fiction, non-fiction.

I hate television. I hate it as much as peanuts. But I can't stop eating peanuts........House of Cards, Homeland, Parks and Recreation, Game of Thrones, The Walking Dead, The Colbert Report, and Last Week Tonight with John Oliver. My newest obsession, although I wouldn't call it a favorite just yet is watching Drunk History with friends. I've just started watching season 1 of Orphan Black and so far have been loving it. Former favorites- Battlestar Galactica, The Wire, and Breaking Bad.

Music: Alternative, indie, folk, electronic. CHVRCHES, The XX, Matt and Kim, Metric, Postal Service, The Boxer Rebellion, Band of Horses, Rise Against, Purity Ring, Deadmau5, Two Door Cinema Club, M83....just to name a few

Movies: Anything with quality acting and cinematography. I swear by the guidance of rotten tomatoes. Some of my favorites include The Bourne movies, 500 Days of Summer, Tron: Legacy, and of course- Harry Potter!

Food: Bagels, French Toast, Macaroni & Cheese, Kasespaetzle, Grilled Cheese, and Doughy Pizza. I should mention that I'm a rather unpicky eater and have an appreciation for finer and healthier eats as well, but given the option to, I will absolutely eat like a little kid and love it.

Alcohol: Beer above all else- Pilsners, Stouts and Porters are my favorites. I'm not a big fan of IPAs, and would rather be sober than drink anything on the tier of Budweiser/Corrs/Miller or below. Second to beer, Wine- Rieslings and Pinot Grigios preferably. I know nothing about drinking Scotch, but would like to think I do.

You want to. I don't subscribe to the belief that men have to be the initiating force of a relationship and am always impressed by girls who ignore outdated gender roles.
