Considering moving to Portland.
"Stop waiting for Prince Charming. Get up and find him. The poor fool may be stuck in a tree or something..."
In general, I am attracted to masculine non-effeminate/non-metro types, but who don't hunt. Cops, military, cowboy hats over flat-brimmed baseball caps, flannels over trendy logo shirts, steel-toe boots over bright sneakers. Guys who like to fix things, are assertive, and who actually follow-through with their actions. A well mannered real man who makes his lady feel like a real lady. Someone looking for a traditional long term relationship, but is not set on having kids. Oh yeah, and who would not take one of those creepy bathroom mirror selfies ; P
I'm a rather playful, spontaneous and lighthearted person, who likes to not take life too seriously. Bay area native, who definitely loves city life, but grew up in a woodsy neighborhood, and a country girl at heart. My head is in the city, but my heart is in the country. I am also willing to move for the right person; so long distance dating could be a possibility. I work from home, and can live anywhere, so that makes life flexible. Would love to live on the east coast or in Portland.
I consider myself to be an optimistic person who enjoys life very much. Everything interests me, especially new experiences. Only boring people get bored. I just need a ball of yarn and an empty room, and I'll be fine. I love animals (and not eating them for the past 23 years). I'm usually busy because I want to do everything there is to do, yet lying in bed and watching a doc. with my three cats and a shot of Laphroaig is a coveted act too. I don't watch TV and don’t like going to people’s houses when it is on. I have a cheesy sense of humor, but can also be dry and sarcastic. I work as an Executive Assistant, as well as have a pet photography business. You would never find me in IKEA, I have no interest in current pop culture, and I gravitate towards everything vintage: "Not all the old is good, but all the new is bad" - Wallace Nutting. I hate all this new crap - where did all the charm go? Family and friends are a huge part of my life. I write terrible Gothic poetry. I am friends with people in every type of scene and I snort when I laugh.
Who I would like to meet:
I would like to meet someone whose ultimate goal would be to find a person to grow old and sit on a porch with (preferably with a shotgun and bottle of whiskey). I'm extremely romantic and want to share that with someone. I'm looking for someone who is honest and would never cheat on their partner, likes cats and is not allergic to them, eats healthy and stays in shape, would respect my views on animal rights and the fact that I don't eat meat, does not hunt, is not set on having kids, is mature and emotionally available, is playful and funny, is taller than me in my beloved heels (I'm 6' in them), is not so religious that they would be offended by my non-religious beliefs, and has old-fashioned manners. I'm looking for someone who is willing to try new things. One passion is good, but please be multi-faceted in your tastes. I can never understand when someone does not want to hear a new type of music, explore a new town or try a new type of food. Have some type of edge please, whatever that may be… Since I am so social, I would like to find someone who would enjoy being social with me. Then again, I love living in the woods and pursuing nature for activities too... I'm quite adaptable - love it all!
No drug users, smokers or people with STD's please.
So funny - love this spoof on online dating! Let's make sure this does not happen:
Or this... sorry for being so crass right off the bat:
