What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Working in the systems department of a VFX company. Studying for certifications and other training in order to progress career-wise. Yes, I have tried turning it off and on again.

Trying to get fitter, mostly through swimming. One month my swimlondon membership will actually work out cheaper than if I'd paid for the individual sessions, 'til then guilt is a great motivator (though clearly not great enough).

Teaching myself the bass, mostly through Rocksmith.

Otherwise I read books, watch Netflix, play games, and make music.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
After a few years off I’ve recently started getting back into music; playing the Saxophone and messing about with Logic.

I love to cook and am always keen to expand my repertoire. I try not to be reliant on recipes past the first couple of times, which is certainly more fun in a ready steady cook “What have I got in my cupboardses” kind of way.

Being a cat bed.
The first things people usually notice about me

Height (above average), hair (longer than average), beard (exists).
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books:
Favourite authors are Terry Pratchett, Neil Gaiman and Robin Hobb, with Stephen King making a sneak entry last year.

Films/TV:
Wes Anderson, Coen Brothers, and Tarantino. All time favourite films are Local Hero and The Shawshank Redemtion

TV-wise I like Sherlock, Doctor Who (most of the time), QI and anything Joss Whedon.

Music:
Top 3 are The Divine Comedy, Super Furry Animals, and Radiohead. Otherwise tastes include Alternative/Indie, Ska/Punk, and various flavours of Rock/Metal.

Food:
I like it spicy, Mexican is a particular favourite to cook and to eat.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Morning coffee - to kickstart the day
Thunderstorms - sky cracking downpours to clear the air and make everything feel fresh.
Imagination
Google maps'd up smartphone - for when I lose myself
Memory foam mattress
Tea
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Am I bored enough at work to actually do some work yet.

How about now?

Did I leave the door on/feed the oven/lock the cat.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Plotting the downfall of a corrupt government, exposing the secrets of nefarious corporations, rampaging through Tokyo, or saving the world from Eldritch Monstrosities; all from the safety and comfort of a local pub.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I derive a disproportionate amount of satisfaction from wearing odd socks.
