What I’m doing with my life
Working in vfx, fixing tractors on the (render) farm. Gathering data to make pretty graphs to show exactly when things decided to break. Gradually sneaking into the development through the back door; turns out the password was 'Jeff'.

Playing games both cardboard and computer. I help run a (semi) regular board game meetup, and on a weekend I often participate in tournaments dotted around the commuter belt.

When I'm not gallivanting to such exotic destinations as Reading and Brighton I'll either be practising my instruments (Sax and Bass) or flopped in front of Netflix.

Usually Netflix.
I’m really good at
After a few years off I’m working on getting back into a regular music practice routine, actually having specific goals helps here.

I love to cook and am always keen to expand my repertoire. I try not to be reliant on recipes past the first couple of times, which is certainly more fun in a ready steady cook “What have I got in my cupboardses” kind of way.

Being a cat bed.

Books:
Favourite authors are Terry Pratchett, Neil Gaiman and Robin Hobb, with Stephen King as a more recent addition thanks to the Dark Tower series.

Films/TV:
Wes Anderson, Coen Brothers, and Tarantino. All time favourite films are Local Hero and The Shawshank Redemption

Currently working through Jessica Jones and finding it a very interesting departure from the usual Marvel fare.Mainstays include Battlestar Galactica, House of Cards, Bojack Horseman and anything Joss Whedon.

After recently being introduced to Welcome to Night Vale it has become the primary background to my commute, though I’m rapidly running out of back episodes.

Music:
Perennial favourites are The Divine Comedy, Super Furry Animals, and Radiohead. Otherwise tastes include Alternative/Indie (Magnetic Fields), Ska/Punk (older Green Day, Streetlight Manifesto), and various flavours of Rock/Metal (Nightwish, Tool, RAtM).

Food:
I like it spicy, Mexican is a particular favourite to cook and to eat.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
So many adventurers. So few pith helmets.
On a typical Friday night I am
Plotting the downfall of a corrupt government, exposing the secrets of nefarious corporations, rampaging through Tokyo, or saving the world from Eldritch Monstrosities; all from the safety and comfort of a local pub.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I derive a disproportionate amount of satisfaction from wearing odd socks.
