My self-summary
i am an interested in a thousand things: stars, cooking, culture, dance, languages, stories, animals, plants, origami, literature, ghost stories, meditation, and the mind. it's important to me to grow and feel connected to people and things around me. so making beautiful things and sharing them is at the heart of all i do.
What I’m doing with my life
i'm an artist and a teacher. i take popsicle stick sculptures seriously.

here's my blog:

my art, writing, stuffed animals, and baked goods
I’m really good at
listening.
massages.
seeing the kernel of good in a mess or a failure.
motivating myself.
talking in metaphors.
drawing.
The first things people usually notice about me
i'm disarming.

second, my eyes. they change from blue to green to grey like a mood ring.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
books: zen stuff by pema chodron, cheri huber, and charlotte beck. southern gothic stuff like flannery o'connor and cormac mccarthy. kid's books by shel silverstein.

movies: harold and maude

music: motown. iron and wine, tori amos, cat power, radiohead, christopher o'riley, clint mansell and mellow folks who sit at pianos alone.

food: thai, italian, chick'n and waffles!
The six things I could never do without
a relationship with myself
a sense of meaning
truly good friends.
creativity.
touch, and
connection.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
not what or when or why, but HOW.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
in elementary school i got tested for gifted and put into speech instead. ouch. the whole time i thought i'd be leaving class to play chess with the smart kids, they had me in a cubicle trying to pronounce "thistle" and "whistle" without sounding gay.

i don't lisp and i don't play chess either.
