I speak Spanish, play music (guitar, bass, ukulele), love sports (hiking, surfing, biking, soccer, lifting weights), books, and rootsy music (rock, reggae, bluegrass, world/latin). I work in health care and love it.
Via the influence of my European parents I grew up cooking & gardening. I like carpentry & fooling around with power tools.
SF is home but I have been doing a lot of work/living in Latin America the last several years. I'm from DC & love visiting DC/NYC/New England.
I'm old fashioned sometime, I never got into: tattoos, piercings (though its ok if have them), gaming, porn, "meds/RX" and I'm not part of any movement/tribe, unless the Democrats count. I am an affectionate, expressive guy. I don’t flirt, if I am with you, I am with you.
My gal shares some of my passions, pluses include: east coaster or foreigner, (healthy) curves, a curious mind, no kids (but wants them), and if you play an instrument or sing than I love you already.

I love reading, Jared Diamond, Steven Ambrose, Tim Robbins, I.B. Singer, Kurt Vonnegut, Edgar Allen Poe, NYT, Dan Gilbert, Malcom Gladwell, & plenty more health/science titles. I'm not big on TV but I love NFL, The Office, SNL, and Mad Men.
Movies: Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Once, American Werewolf in London, Rushmore, Up in the Air, Spaghetti Westerns, any Woody Allen or Almodóvar film, The Science of Sleep and Y Tu Mama Tambien. Spanish language movies are a fav & I often watch American movies dubbed in Spanish, the Spanish voice over actors are fantastic.

I am a lightweight. If I drink more than two beers my cheeks get red, I laugh at anything and I'm everyone's best friend. Though in San Francisco an even more embarrassing thing to admit is I am not a foodie:) so the beer could be, gasp....a Tecate or even a Budweiser.
