My self-summary
I'm Daniel.
At my core, I'm a waking dreamer and adventure-seeker. I live for experience and exploration, great times with great friends. I'm your average light-hearted Joe with a few handfuls of quirks that will either raise eyebrows or incite shared laughter- sometimes both at the same time! I'm the type of person that's shy and slightly awkward at first, but once I'm comfortable, I'm a tried-and-true chatterbox. My soul feeds off of deep, intellectual conversations every bit as much as the silly, fun side of things.
What I’m doing with my life
Simply put, I'm enjoying it.

Ever since I began my work life as an adult, I've held a full-time gig and it has been all sorts of super duper. I made it my mission to support myself, and in that regard I've been very successful. Schooling is in my near-future, as I intend to pursue the scientific-oriented path I've always dreamed of. I've been a man of science ever since I was very young and there's an indescribable sense of passion that I have towards learning about all things science. Math, on the other hand, may as well be written in archaic Latin on the inside of a cave. But, I digress.

There's an enormous part of me that is best described as feeling an intense amount of "wanderlust." For most of my life all I've known is Nashville. In 2011, I decided to make a solo trip to the ocean for the first time and it has since, like a domino effect, resulted in a constant desire to see and explore places I've never been. Visiting southern Utah was especially life-changing and I cannot WAIT to go back! Winter is particularly difficult for me in this regard because of my intense draw towards nature and water.

Having said all of that, though, I'm currently striving to strike a balance with work and life. More time spent with people, venturing out, having good laughs, drinking good drinks, etc.
I’m really good at
Finding the positive spin on things. I've always been the logical mind; the adviser for my friends. Even though we all have our days when we want to give up and run away, I try my best to find the silver linings in most situations. I've learned there's no sense in harboring ill thoughts towards anything, when possible of course. Because I can and will mix a volatile potion in defense of my friends.
The first things people usually notice about me
98.2% of the time, I have a smile on my face. I have a tendency to think a lot, which means I will start laughing for seemingly no reason. I'm also the king of the "thumb's up."
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I love all food and love learning more about it. I'm big on fresh, nutritious foods not only because of fitness, but mostly because I genuinely enjoy gourmet dishes. That's not to say I can't throw down a huge greasy burger topped with bacon, country ham, and a fried egg then turn around and wash it down with ice cream. I can put away some food. Noteworthy are my love affairs with restaurant breads and avocados.

Let's just get it out of the way that I am utterly obsessed and devoted to Game of Thrones. Some of my long-time favorite TV shows include Alias, Charmed, Star Trek: Voyager, Survivor, Lost, Gilmore Girls, Teen Wolf, Will & Grace, and essentially anything involving Chef Ramsay... I have a tendency to discretely yell "DONKEY!" at people. >.>

When it comes to music, I'm picky. I love my Ke$ha, KT Tunstall, Coldplay, Keane, Jet, Amy Winehouse, Daft Punk, etc... But nobody gets me in the mood to sing like Lucy Woodward and Michael Bublé. I love jazz and classical music, especially orchestra.
The six things I could never do without
A coffee fix...
(Don't judge) My electronics...
Dark humor...
Drunken movie commentary with friends...
Fluffy pillows and comforters...
And, well, that's just none of your business... :)
On a typical Friday night I am
Workin', playing games, or having fun with my friends.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I have a tendency to randomly sing Disney songs to myself, because I will always be a Disney kid at heart. Ariel is my girl.
