I am sweet, quirky, and bright.

My Self-Summary

I'm a German and Psychology double major just changed from music (classical voice). I love school! I have a job at a science museum, which I like most of the time, good friends and a screwed up but lovable family. I love learning and people. I will hopefully be studying next year in Germany! I tend to talk to myself too much, and have a major weakness for Mystery Science Theatre 3000. I'm a little bit of a risk taker, not like in the bungee jumping sense but in the opening my own business at the age of 19 sort of way. I set goals for myself and usually achieve them. I'm opinionated but don't necessarily take them too seriously. I love debating things and learning about other's ideas about the world. I love to travel and am fortunate enough to have backpacked through Europe, I'm hoping to go to Tibet next summer! I'm obsessed with gnomes and creepy owls from the 60's. I'm also pretty sure that my soul mate is a joke telling Pirate. Enough about me what about you? The end of the summary got a little wierd didn't it?

What I’m doing with my life

As mentioned above I'm going to school, I'm going to PSU to finish my bachelors in Psychology and German. When I'm not working or attending classes I work on my singing, read, work out, hang with friends and strangers, I do a lot of handwork like knitting and jewelry making. I've been learning the violin and playing 2nd in orchestra the past year so any time I can spend on that unruly instrument practicing the better! I used to volunteer a lot, I'd like to get back into that. I also like to revel in my geekiness! Right now I'm trying to figure out how to be the best version of myself possible.

I’m really good at

Singing, listening to peoples problems, being optimistic. I'm a good friend, daughter and sister and I think those are some of the most important things I can be. I take care of people.

The first things people usually notice about me

My eyes. I'm quiet and shy. At first anyway, once I get a little cozier I'm crazy! Everyone says I seem four years older than I am too...which makes sense I've had a lot of life experience.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Lady Chatterly's lover by DH Lawrence...I love the way he writes it's so fluid and intimate the book was also really relevant today. Anything David Sedaris or Truman Capote. I just finished reading the Knife Man about John Hunter one of the "fathers" of surgery and one of the greatest anatomists of all time. I adore bell hooks, I think if everyone read her books we'd be in a lot better place. I'm a sucker for comedy...two words Napolean Dynamite! I also love indy and foreign film. I enjoy new perspectives on things and film usually gives you that. I love music. I can't really think of a genre I don't listen to. If it's good it's good. I love Tom Waits and PJ Harvey- uh huh her...I love world music too. I listen to bollywood music quite a bit. Of course I listen to a lot of Classical music/Opera. My Faves there include Wagner, Mahler, Verdi, Gesualdo, Strauss Montiverdi, and Liszt. I'm a vegetarian so any veggies and fruits...Lebanese food is a favorite!

The six things I could never do without

My intuition, my family, friends, music, food and water, monty python.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

My place in the world....who I'm going to be. How I can make positive change in the world. Feminism. My friends and family:)

On a typical Friday night I am

Either taking my little bro on a "dinner and a movie date" Or at some party with a friend or two. Or driving somewhere crazy with the music turned up and my best friend randomly pointing to places on the map. Or usually unfortunately working:(

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I'm really horrible at lying.

You should message me if

You're a geek or a dork or some combination. Or if you think you're cool, cause I probably will too.
