My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hi, my name is David. I'm unemployed and live with my parents.

Totally kidding. Nothing like a George Costanza-esque pickup line to kick this thing off.

Just moved to Dallas in February from Pittsburgh, PA, and so far I love it here. Except for the bugs. Bugs don't get this big in Pennsylvania.

I'm an introverted extrovert, if that makes any sense. I tend to be very talkative, and one of my biggest motivations is meeting interesting people and hearing all about the cool shit they've experienced and what makes them tick. Ask me about the road trip I took last year, man do I have some stories.

I love seeing new places, whether it's a long trip or just a weekend. Any excuse to travel and I'm in.

For the most part my diet is pretty clean, but I love food too much to ever consider true "dieting." Whataburger being 24/7 is pretty dangerous to my stomach and my wallet. There's one right by my apartment too, so "cheat days" happen more often than they should. Oh well.

I ran a half marathon a few years ago and one of my short term goals is to run a full one. I ran my first half of this year in September, and am registered for 3 more in the next 6 months, and the Pittsburgh full in May. I could always use a running partner!
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Just moved to Dallas from Pittsburgh in February. Opportunity knocked and I answered, which meant moving my life halfway across the country. It sucked leaving my friends and family in PA, but I'm excited to start a new chapter in a new city.

I'm an IT admin at 3 paint production plants and 3 warehouses throughout Texas. I travel every now and then for work, and I think it's awesome being able to see the country on my company's dime.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
-My job
-Making breakfast food - I'd be a nationally ranked French toast maker if such a thing existed.
-Board games
-Frisbee layout catches
-Air guitar/drums/bass
-Marathoning TV shows

Music:
My iTunes contains a wide variety of music, ranging from generic genres like "techno" and "rap" to very specific ones like "progressive industrial grindcore." Disclaimer: I don't actually know what that is, I just know it's there. Now, what's actually being blown into my earholes? These days it's mostly 80's hair metal sprinkled with blues rock, served with an occasional side dish of Jack Johnson and The Goo Goo Dolls.

Movies:
I love watching movies and I'll watch pretty much anything, but I'm a sucker for a shitty Japanese horror remake

TV Shows:
How I Met Your Mother, Breaking Bad, Arrested Development, Seinfeld, Louie, Parks and Rec, Wilfred, Trailer Park Boys

Books:
I just bought about 10 literary classics (Lord of the Flies, Adventures of Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn, and The Giver to name a few), and am working my way through them. My favorite book of all time though is Flowers for Algernon.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Running
Slow pitch softball
Phone (let's be honest)
Ultimate Frisbee
Frank's Red Hot Sauce
Magic Hat #9
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Buying a turntable just so I can describe myself as "desk jockey by day, disc jockey by night."
