My self-summary
Hi, my name is David. I'm unemployed and live with my parents.

Totally kidding. Nothing like a George Costanza-esque pickup line to kick this thing off.

Just moved to Dallas in February from Pittsburgh, PA, and I've been spending a lot of my time getting acclimated to a new city.

I'm an introverted extrovert, if that makes any sense. I'm never the life of the party, but I love talking to and meeting new people so I always feel compelled to have a conversation with just about anyone I come across. This impulsion only gets worse when I drink. One of the biggest motivations in my life is meeting interesting people and hearing all about the cool shit they've experienced and what makes them tick.

I try to live a healthy lifestyle, but I love food too much to ever consider true "dieting." I ran a half marathon a few years ago and one of my short term goals is to run a full one. I've been training for about a month now and I registered for a half marathon in September to keep myself motivated towards that goal. I could always use a running partner!
What I’m doing with my life
Just moved to Dallas in February. I graduated from Penn State in 2011 then worked in Pittsburgh for about two and a half years. Opportunity knocked and I answered, which means moving my life halfway across the country! It sucked to leave my friends and family in Pennsylvania, but at the same time I'm super excited to start a new chapter in a new city.

I do IT support for a major coatings company and do work at 3 production plants and 3 warehouses throughout Texas. The job is pretty stressful now especially with the move, but it's nothing a few beers on the weekend can't fix.
I’m really good at
-My job
-Making breakfast food - I'd be a nationally ranked French toast maker if such a thing existed.
-Board games
-Frisbee layout catches
-Air guitar/drums/bass
-Marathoning TV shows
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
TV Shows: How I Met Your Mother, Breaking Bad, Arrested Development, Seinfeld, Louie, Parks and Rec, Wilfred

Music: 90s alt rock (Third Eye Blind, Matchbox Twenty, Foo Fighters), 70s/80s classic rock (Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones, Van Halen, The Who, Bachman-Turner Overdrive) and a little EDM here and there. Lately I've been listening to a lot of the Arctic Monkeys, Young the Giant, and Frank Turner.

Movies: I love watching movies and I'll watch pretty much anything, but I'm a sucker for a shitty Japanese horror remake

Books: I just bought about 10 literary classics (Lord of the Flies, Adventures of Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn, and The Giver to name a few), and am working my way through them. My favorite book of all time though would be Flowers for Algernon.
The six things I could never do without
Magic Hat #9 or Newcastle Brown Ale
Boxing gloves
Phone (let's be honest)
Ultimate Frisbee
Frank's Red Hot Sauce
Thing 6
I spend a lot of time thinking about
What if the hokey pokey really is what it's all about?
On a typical Friday night I am
My Friday nights have been pretty plain lately. I spend most evenings watching movies and Skyping with my friends in Pittsburgh, and Fridays are no different.

- The questions remind you of those tacky Myspace quizzes, but you secretly love answering them
- You agree that Space Jam is pretty much the best movie ever
