My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I've decided that I really dislike writing a "self-summary". I know I'm awesome, but what could I possibly write that would convince you that I'm awesome? Oh well, guess we'll give it a go.

I am snide, cynical and sarcastic, but also intelligent, witty and kind. Those are probably six of the most over used adjectives ever when it come to self descriptions but here they are.

More about me? I enjoy games of all types. Board games, card games, video games, tabletop games. Though I suppose I'd leave head games off the list. I also enjoy getting outdoors--I love camping and disc golf and I'm also into archery. I went bow fishing earlier in the summer and it was pretty awesome.

I have half a degree in software development. I thought that is what I wanted to do with my life. I woke up one day just hating what I was doing and decided to quit. One of these days I'm going to have to look at what credits can transfer into something a little more practical; life has a way of getting in the way of those kind of plans though.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Currently I'm writing. Writing everything that comes to mind. I have short stories and novels and poems... none if it is finished, but I'm working on it.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I love to cook for other people... but rarely for myself. Meals are to be shared.

I've also been told I'm an excellent Dungeon Master. It's a D&D thing, not a sex thing... I get why people were confused.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I would guess the first thing people notice about me is my red beard. Then maybe my friendly demeanor.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Favorite books would be The Lord of the Rings, Dune, Pandora's Star, and The Song of Ice and Fire.

The Fifth Element is hands down my favorite movie. To that I might add Jurassic Park, The Goonies, Planes Trains and Automobiles, The Last Samurai, 30 Days of Night, and Aliens. And many, many more.

I also can get down with some anime: Samurai X, Chobits, Vampire Knight and Princess Mononoke are enjoyable.

There are many, many TV shows I'm into. Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Firefly, How I Met Your Mother, Supernatural, Freaks and Geeks, Grey's Anatomy, Heroes, Doctor Who, and Battlestar Galactica to name just a few.

Topping my list for music would be Pucifer, A Perfect Circle, Within Temptation, Tool, NIN, and The Birthday Massacre. There are many, MANY, more artists that I enjoy aswell.

I eat almost any kind of food (as long as it's not too spicy, I know I'm a wimp) but a nice rare steak with a baked potato is always king. Chinese and Mexican food is always great as well.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My attachment to the material has waned a lot in recent times. Before I would have told you stuff like my computer and music and my movie collection and on and on. But now, all that stuff holds little meaning more than filling the time. Now the things I couldn't live with out would be a notebook and pencil to write with, a good meal, good company and maybe a shower just to keep fresh.

And watching the snow fall slowly on a calm night, that and Christmas lights...
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I have so many different ideas for stories I couldn't ever begin to tell you what I spend most of my time thinking about. I tend to get really excited about some idea for a book or an adventure and spend the rest of the day thinking about it. Then the next day start thinking about something new. Or I jump for idea to idea, each one spawning a new thought or path to follow.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Very recently I've been spending my Fridays planning for the day zombies attack. Otherwise, I'm either hanging out at the Museum Club shooting pool, or downtown at Majerle's enjoying a beer and a game.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I live with my mother. Not in a creepy weird "get a life" way, but a "I'm a good son and she needs help" way. Her husband (Not my father) died a little over a year ago and she needed help paying the bills so here I am.

You see anything here you find interesting. If you can talk. Or if you think watching The Nightmare Before Christmas is a great tradition.
