My self-summary
I'm in central downtown and love it. I occasionally consider moving away from AZ but if I'm going to live here, I'm going to live right where I do.
My two dogs are constant companions and I can't imagine life without a pooch.
Staying fit is important to me. I do CrossFit but on my own. I haven't had enough of the Kool-Aid yet to spend the amounts of money to go to one of the gyms. I enjoy running and while I love to hike I don't do as much of it as I want.
While almost everybody says that they're laid back and down to earth I'm genuinely one of the chillest people you'll probably ever meet. I don't talk any more than I have to but I pay attention to everything.
I love to learn, to read, to eat, to drink, to see and do and try and go and sleep in and stuff.
What I’m doing with my life
Enjoying it as much as possible, with quality people, and trying to figure out how to do more of both.
I have a porchswing in my backyard that I like to climb onto, lengthwise, get a pooch up to sleep at my feet, and read until I fall asleep. Then I usually get up and cook/drink the night away. This, if I can make it happen, takes up at least one night a week while the weather is awesome.

Writing rants.

Forgetting things more or less immediately.
The first things people usually notice about me
Probably my eyes or my smirk. I don't talk as much as most people so I take eye contact somewhat seriously. It's such a strong way to communicate and it's so taken for granted.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I read a lot. Usually it's escapism or just basic entertainment.
Most recently I finished "This Book is Full of Spiders" by David Wong. If you've read it, or "John Dies at the End" then you gain +10 points right out the gate.
Other recent titles have been The Paleo Solution, The Price of Inequality, Going Clear (a book about Scientology and some of it's wacky escapades, like infiltrating the IRS and slave labor), Penpal, a book of Hemingway's short stories, and a few cook books.

I also love to eat. One of my favorite things about colder weather is the comfort food. However, I don't like sweets. Ice cream, cake, candy, cookies or the like.. meh. No thanks. Italian is great, Thai...I love spicy food. I could survive on chips and salsa or nachoes. While I was vegetarian for a few years, I'm definitely not now.

Tv and movies : American Werewolf in London, The Thing, A Fish Called Wanda, Walking Dead, Gordon Ramsey cooking shows, Jeopardy, Jacob's Ladder, Louie, Snatch, Workaholics, etc. I like to laugh and I like to learn, so it usually revolves around that. I've canceled my cable so tv watching isn't quite what it used to be.

Music : Florence + the Machine, Clutch, Tool, low down dirty blues, Professor Kliq, The Rugburns, MC 900 Ft. Jesus, 2 Short, Violent Femmes, Elbow, The Ravonettes, Einsturzende Neubautren, Yeti, Distopia, Propaghandi, etc. etc.
I'd say that I listen to a little bit of everything, but that's another one of those phrases that's used so much that I avoid it. Except for that whole, just used it thing. Woops.
The six things I could never do without
Hot Sauce.
Something to read.
A dog.
Naps.
Stand up comedians.
The potato.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Why I always check my phone for messages .75 seconds before a message shows up.
And Deja vu.
On a typical Friday night I am
Almost none of my friends have Friday night off and those that do aren't generally doing the things I like to do, so I wander about the day and do whatever comes up.
Less often than it should be it's obsessive cleaning.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I cry a lil bit if a dog dies in a movie. Damn you I am Legend, damn you!
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 24–41
  • Near me
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating
You should message me if
You smile a lot.
If you can find adventure in getting lost on the way to a friends house, can enjoy an afternoon of just winging it and ending up wherever, doing whatever.
Fitness is ok and *part* of your life and not a laser beam focus. I'm not sure if I'm ok with Zumba though, to be honest.
Hell, contact me if you feel like it. It never hurts to say hello.

However, if all of your pics are through a grainy filter, from overhead and a dishonest angle, or making the duckface, please move along.
