My self-summary
Here's the stuff about me that comes to the top of my head to put here:

I'm Phil / Domo. I'm a writer and aspiring video game designer currently working on my first big(ish) project.

I suppose the one first things you should know about me is I'm a nerdy kind of guy. I mention this first because I would really like to find someone with a similar set of interests. I play video games, particularly a lot of RPGs and MMOs (not WoW, though, or at least not anymore). I like d20 based tabletop games such as Dungeons and Dragons (yes, I'm that level of nerd). I watch some anime, though honestly not as much as I once did. I've been more into American comics lately.

I am quite interested in literature. I'm an avid reader and writer, and one of my dreams in life is to become a published novelist. As things are going right now that dream may not be far away; don't be surprised if you see one of my books on the shelves sometime real soon!

As far as my personality goes, I'm told I'm funny in a sarcastic or witty kind of way. I'm also a strong believer in 'treat others the way you want to be treated' so if you are nice to me I am very nice back.

I'm also a great cook, or so I am told my the people who have eaten my cooking. Italian dishes and anything barbecue are my specialties, but I've also dabbled in Asian and Mexican (of course, I mean the Americanized versions of these things, I'm not too much of an "authentic" cook, although I've been told my tomato sauce comes close to the real deal).
What I’m doing with my life
I'm leading a small team in turning one of my story ideas into a full-length video game.
I’m really good at
Cooking. Don't ask me how, but I've developed quite the reputation as a chef. I recently catered an event of 40-ish people for my grandmother's birthday and the food went over really well, so apparently I'm quite good at it.

Anything related to computers, I'm great at solving technical problems and can even build a computer from the ground up. Writing, too, I will (hopefully) be a famous novelist one day.
The first things people usually notice about me
Nowadays, probably the fedora. I put it on almost every time I go out now, and I'm told it's quite 'attention-catching.' Whether or not that's meant in a good way I'm not sure.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: The Song of Fire and Ice series has gotten all my fanboyness lately. I'm four books in waiting for my chance to pick up the fifth, though since pretty much all my friends are HBO-watchers I got no one to talk to without spoiling >br />Michael Crichton is my favorite writer of all time, anything by him is great, I particularly like Timeline and Prey. Robert Ludlum is great, too, got to love the spy genre. Yes, I know both my favorite writers have died in the past few years, I do not believe that makes me cursed.
The Hunger Games series was amazing, in my humble opinion. I know that series was more targeted to a female-audience but I couldn't help being compelled by it.
Stephen King can be good, particularly his old stuff.
I also like a lot of the classics.

Movies: Most recently, the Marvel movie universe is what is getting my box-office dollars.
Scott Pilgrim vs the World was amazing. I like a lot of action movies, yes I mean the movies with a plot that you don't have to think about as long as explosions continue to fill up the screen. I don't think there's anything wrong with that. I like horror movies, too, but I haven't seen a good one in a long while.

Shows: Anything on Adult Swim, The Big Bang Theory, Burn Notice, White Collar, Stargate, Eureka, Chuck, The Office, The Simpsons, Tosh.0, South Park, etc. I think you get the idea.

Music: I listen to pretty much all music with the possible exception of country, but even that if someone puts it on I'll listen to it (uncomfortably). I tend to prefer old-school rock, though. My radio stays pretty toned to stations that play a lot of 80's music.

Food: I love Chinese food, anything at a Chinese restaurant counts as my favorite. I also like Italian food and anything BBQ. I'm a decent cook as well and like the experiment with new things in the kitchen.

Video Games: RPGs like Elder Scrolls, Fallout, my all-time favorite Mass Effect, Tales of, The Witcher, etc. I'm always jumping between MMOs as well and even kept an MMO blog for a while until I stopped having time for it. Also play lots of indie games and anything with a decent story or unusual mechanic. And yes, I know this isn't one of the categories they list but I think for someone like me this is important.
The six things I could never do without
1. My Computer : I'm a computer nerd. It is my life obsession and my future profession.
2. The Internet: See above.
3. My Friends : A little cliche, but they are important to me.
4. Caffeine : Cars need gas, I need caffeine.
5. Good Food : I like to eat. Also cook.
6. My Imagination : No, not in the perverted sense. I like to write, and when I'm bored I like to think through stories that have yet to be written in my head.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The future and how to make the best of it. How I'm going to make myself a success in life and the next move I should make.
On a typical Friday night I am
Hanging out with a few friends, talking about god knows what, or playing some new game we just got together.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I don't have a lot of experience with relationships... or... well... really any. Super nerdy guys tend to not get much love from the ladies XP
