clever, mellow, and a bit of a smartass
My self-summary Propose an edit
I just graduated with a BAS (Environmental Engineering) and am
currently job hunting for my future career. I'd really like to
focus on finding something that I enjoy doing and not just do to
get by. I imagine it would be really hard to be happy in your life
if something you devote so much of your time to is something you
abhor.
In general, I enjoy reading, watching movies, being outdoors, and
hanging out with my friends. I like gaming and playing devil's
advocate. Sometimes I engage my friends in conversations from a
position I don't necessarily agree with just to see where it can
go. This segues into my need for humor in daily life. I love
interjecting situational humor and commentary into whatever's going
on around me. Environmental consciousness and consideration are
important to me, but not really in a radical civil disobedience
way, at least not yet.
What I'm doing with my life Propose an edit
I just graduated Miami University and while I am
proud of that accomplishment, I'm holding off on the celebration
until I find that job I've worked the last 4 years towards.
Maybe some people have handled this problem earlier on in their
lives, but I have yet to decide how it is that I am going to
balance what is actually important and interesting to me and living
up to all the preening my parents have put in.
In the mean time, I am relaxing and enjoying my time finding me,
for a lack of a better phrase. Lots of reading, Xbox 360 and crashing the
internets.
I'm really good at Propose an edit
helping people rationalize through problems and/or being there to
listen even if I don't have anything helpful to say, taking forever
on my turn in scrabble, procrastinating, not folding
laundry, making friends laugh, video games, losing track of time,
getting lost in wikipedia, pulling people out of movies by point
out fallacies, and being hedonist apparently (or at least OKC seems
to think so)

sarcasm"

EDITORS
The first thing(s) people usually notice about me Propose an edit
I've been described as pretty quick witted, which usually manifests
as sarcasm. So
either people hate me, or love me, for my mouth.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food Propose an edit
Terry
Pratchett, Neil Gaiman and Christopher Moore are my
favorite contemporary writers. My favorite books within them are
Neverwhere, the Sandman series, Lamb and Good Omens.
I really like most movies-especially those by Mel Brooks. I'm one of those
people who will watch a horrible movie, if for no other reason than
to laugh about it with friends. Let's see what's on the top of my
DVD shelf... Ever After, Robin Hood Men in Tights, Dogma, Moulin
Rouge, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Across the Universe, The
Princess Bride, From Hell, Pirates of the Caribbean, Nightmare
before Christmas, Idiocracy, History of the World Part 1,
Labyrinth.
I feel like TV should also be in this section… I watch House
religiously. Runners up include: Lost, The Office, Nip/Tuck, Family
Guy, Heroes(sometimes), Arrested Development (RIP), How I meet your
mother, The Whitest Kids U'Know. Sometimes I watch random marathons
on the Discovery Channel. TV is more of a social thing for me and
I've found that when I'm alone, I tend to read more.
Although I have NO musical talent whatsoever, I adore those who do.
I own very little in the way of CDs and MP3s but listen to just
about anything. If I were to choose, I consistently lean towards
bands like Tool,
Oasis, Placebo, and the ever classic Metallica. I also enjoy
Dirty Vegas,
Fall Out Boy, Guster, Lily Allen, Maroon 5, Massive Attack, Rascal
Flatts, Powder Finger, A Perfect Circle, Yellowcard, Stone Sour,
Three Days Grace, VAST. Rock, "Alternative", Grunge,
Trip-Hop, House, even some Country... I pull a little from every
genre.
I love Japanese food, especially sushi... Italian is my most common
staple. I also really love Mexican. I really want to try new
things, too, like Thai, Moroccan, or something fun like that. So
you should let me know if you know of a good place...
The six things I could never do without Propose an edit
Internet (and the computer to use it), my collection of dear

On a typical Friday night I am Propose an edit
This should be filled with a list of all the interesting things I
do, places I go and people I hang out with, right?
I am likely just talking to friends, reading, playing video games
or viewing Monster.com
But I am certainly for spicing that up.
The most private thing I'm willing to admit here Propose an edit
I once upon a time liked Hinder - before they became grossly
overplayed.
I know, I know. Geez.

Just do it :P
How else am I supposed to know you're interested and not just
trolling around, bored?
