I'm a technologist, a cook, and a me. I spend a lot of time in my
head and in my monitors to both good and ill effect.
Spend too much time in your head and you get self-critical but you
gain understanding as well.
What I’m doing with my life
These days I'm working as a Database Engineer, it's a fairly
intense gig and has me on franky weird hours, but it's pretty good
work and I can't say no to that. Anything else is pretty much
filled up with trying to have a social life and playing catch up
with the day's news.
I’m really good at
I'm a mean cook, I make a phenomenal if spicy pot of chili. Don't ask me to bake but I'll improvise spices for your stew off the top of my head.
I'm also a pretty fair shot where the technological arts are concerned as well..
The first things people usually notice about me
These days? The beard, as it can get out of hand and remind people
of Alan Moore.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
A mix mostly trending towards fantasy and sci Fi. With a love of history and the works of Gregory David Roberts mixed in.
Star Wars Episodes IV-VI, Star Trek I-IV and IV, Serenity, Casablanca, Fifth Element, Run Lulu Run, Labyrinth, Rocky Horror Picture Show, Muppet Treasure Island
Mostly Metal with preferences trending towards power Metal and harsher stuff with clean vocals (Rhapsody of Fire, Turisas, Keldian) I do additionally have a dire fondness for odd European folk music done with a modern bent (Schelmish, Faun, Wolgemut)
The six things I could never do without
A reliable fast internet connection, my car, my bag, my desktop, my boots, and the unerring knowledge of where to get the best burrito at any given moment.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Honestly? Some dorky but interesting thing I'm going over in too much detail (ask me about asexual vulcans, its fascinating)
On a typical Friday night I am
At home having eaten dinner with Netflix, unless I've got some local plans. But its an early evening as I work Saturdays. Saturday tho? Who knows, but usually at the space in Hartford.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I know in my heart of hearts that I'm bi but that doesn't stop me from feeling like I'm lying to everyone and faking it on a regular basis.
You should message me if
Looking to talk, no matter the topic.
That or you've got a good secret method for breaking in Doc Martens fast.
