My self-summary
Short version: I'm a somewhat random person with typical geeky interests

Long version:

I am what most people would consider a 'nerd' because of my interests in sci fi, history, philosophy, politics, law, fantasy, technology, gaming, "tropes", debate, and other things that pop up in class, in conversations with people, or on wikipedia.

The funny part of my interest in technology is one of my groups of friends is really skilled with technology while the other is not. This means I'm either unofficial tech support or clueless.

I am shy and reserved in many situations but after time I become lively and talkative.

I'm proud to be a double gator, gator football is the only sport I follow.

I am an atheist but I could believe in a god if I'm presented with strong evidence that one exists or an extremely convincing argument for it.

I've had type 1 diabetes since I was a baby. I call it diabeetus for the lulz.
What I’m doing with my life
I graduated from UF with a degree in political science, a minor in history, and a minor in communication studies. I recently graduated from UF's law school and will soon be returning to Boca Raton while I study for the bar. I want to practice either First Amendment Law or Intellectual Property Law after I pass the Florida Bar exam. Given the state of the job market I'll be happy with any non-family law job out there.
I’m really good at
reading, writing, finding information on assorted topics, listening, and public speaking
The first things people usually notice about me
are my sense of humor, intelligence, and ability to talk about almost anything. I honestly don't know what my most striking physical trait is.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Food: pineapple, chocolate, seafood, spices, pizza, fresh vegetables, 90% of what I cook for myself

There are too many things to list for movies, music, and books but here are some:

Music: Video game sound tracks, Weird Al, Metallica (BEFORE 1996), Megadeth (before Mustaine went Bat**** crazy by endorsing Alex Jones conspiracy theories and Santorum), Iron Maiden, Dethklok, Disturbed, Blind Guardian, Rhapsody of Fire, Epica, Orphaned Land, Nightwish

Books: Harry Potter series, LOTR, Series of Unfortunate Events, 'lore' for the Warcraft, Starcraft, and 40k universe, almost anything by Harry Turtledove, 1984, Brave New World, Animal Farm, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, American Gods, random books I find in any library when bored

Movies: Anchorman, Talladega Nights, Star Wars 3-6, Iron Man, Iron Man 2, classic disney and pixar, Snakes on a Plane, My Cousin Vinny, Rocky Horror Picture Show, Inglorious Basterds, Captain America: The First Avenger
The six things I could never do without
1. Internet access- wikipedia, tvtropes, the news, and youtube are a substantial part of my time.

2. Books- I love to read and amass a large collection of books. One shelf has books about South African history, home veterinary medicine for cats, a biography of George Orwell, and Warcraft lore. Another shelf contains books on obscure constitutional provisions, "bizarro fiction", and anthropology

3. Spicy food and beer- I'm a chilihead. One of the quickest ways to my heart is a curry that sets it on FIRE. I'm also near addicted to stouts and the fruity kinds of ipas.

4. Friends with similar interests- almost the entire reason middle school sucked was that I was the only nerd in general population.

5. All forms of gaming- both video games and pen and paper games provide an effective escape from stress and can sometimes be a great group activity. I'm an on again off again WOW player and looking for some kind of D&D or NWOD game.

6. Metal- useful for stress relief, expressing emotions, and blocking out things I don't want to hear. Metal when combined with other forms of music is often even better (see Raintime's cover of "Beat It)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
either:
a) material related to schoolwork or current events

or

b) completely random things

or

c) how arguments about political and philosophical issues develop and respond to other arguments.
On a typical Friday night I am
playing D&D or a different pen and paper game with friends or at a movie
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm a metalhead becoming more and more a fan of Lady Gaga

I'm also a hopeless romantic buried under several layers of unapologetic cynic

I have an on again/off again relationship with both WOW and WWE.
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 22–35
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For new friends, short-term dating, activity partners, casual sex
You should message me if
you want to chat and see what happens

I'm also looking to join a D&D or any NWOD pen and paper game.
