My self-summary
Before you go on to the rest of this whole song and dance, let me give you a heads up: I'm a sarcastic goofball; just about nothing I say should be taken seriously. I play video games whenever I can. If you can deal with that...

I was born in Boston, moved to Poland, raised in Chicago, went to college in Gainesville, and now I live and work a ways outside Jacksonville. It's literally like 45 minutes from everywhere.

I take care of endangered ungulates, birds, and carnivores, now that I have my Zoo Animal Technology degree. I spend probably 6 days a week out in the sun cleaning, feeding, or doing chores. I may complain on occasion about how rough my job is, but honestly, I love what I do. Though I'd love to get back up north.

When I do get free time, I spend it watching Netflix, playing video games, and occasionally read (A Song of Ice and Fire). And Achievement Hunter is one of my favorite things on the Internet. If I could find more time to travel the world, especially with someone I'm fond of, I'd be on that plane in a heartbeat.
What I’m doing with my life
I take care of animals every day of the week.

I'm not sure what else...
I’m really good at
I have no idea how to answer this question. I like to think I'm competent at a lot of things. No one has ever come up and told me "You do [blank] really well."

UPDATE: Old boss told me I train new guys well. So, that's something.

DOUBLE UPDATE: Baking cookies.
The first things people usually notice about me
My smile or my eyes. It seems to be what most people mention.

UPDATE: my beard.

DOUBLE UPDATE: Not my beard.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I'll read anything by Douglas Adams, and probably have. I'm slowly working my way through A Song of Ice and Fire. I've read Harry Potter more times than I can count. Any of the Sherlock Holmes stories, fantastic fiction.

Movies are rough, because I like way too many; Netflix has been very good to me. All of this generation of Marvel movies, the Nolan Batman series, the new Star Treks, Jurassic Park, Anchorman, and True Grit are among my favorites, though. Django Unchained, too.

Again, I probably like too many series. Family Guy, Futurama, Doctor Who, Star Trek, Terra Nova, Firefly and Blue Planet, off the top of my head. Way more in there. If you spend enough time with me, I'll probably try and make you watch something to share my fandom.

I have a very wide, eclectic taste in music. I like something in just about every genre.

Food is good. I'll give just about anything two tries. Except seafood.

I'm going to add video games to this list, despite the fact also I play too many to list here. Halo and Assassin's Creed are the main series I play. I would have said Mass Effect as well, if you asked before I got to the ending. Sonic games are a love from a bygone age, despite being terrible at them. And Mech games; I love me giant robots and laserz.
The six things I could never do without
1. A well-stocked kitchen
5. Netflix

Given that in recent years I've had to give up most of the things I had listed, these are the only two that still make the cut.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
My job, my future, my friends and family, at the moment.
On a typical Friday night I am
Probably at home. I'll go out if I can find a group, but I'm perfectly happy to just hang in my apartment or go see a movie.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I want to chase down a train and jump on, like a hobo.

As I've gotten older, I've found myself burdened with a surprising amount of self-doubt.
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 18–25
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating
You should message me if
If you think we connect, I suppose.

Bored people are welcome also.

If there is anyone who wants to go see the hobbit with me, I would enjoy that.

If you didn't think this whole song and dance was too painful to read, send me a message. Like right now.

Seriously. The button is like two inches away.

...you haven't pressed the button yet, have you?

Just a forewarning, and I may be screwing myself with this: I may be leaving Northern Florida sometime in May for work elsewhere. If you're really only looking for something long term, I'm probably not your best choice.

I don't think I mentioned this anywhere else, but my name is Adam.
