My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I suppose I am mainly motivated by the search for truth, love, and wellbeing. I am motivated by ideas that create sustainability (in every sense) and foster happiness. I am expressive and artistic, but also analytical and introverted. I am an extremely passionate and devoted person to what and whom I care about, though I am often pretty shy at first. I love satire and facetiousness and wry humor.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Dance/choreography and theater; arts education.

One time I saw a girl in a National Geographic magazine who looked EXACTLY like me. It was uncanny. She was a London socialite. I guess I could always go crash some parties...
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Empathizing; intuiting; listening; loving; analyzing; appreciating. Considering things from the opponent's point of view. Creating a meal out of disparate ingredients. Identifying why a particular body part hurts and what to do about it. Picking out the right gift.

People who study faces often ask if I'm of Germanic or Swiss descent... and they're right (it's in the cheekbones, supposedly) :)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I'm basically impressed by anyone who does something in a new and original way; who reinvents the form; who makes us see something for the first time; who has a singular voice. To me, that is true wit and beauty. Many artists fall under this and I'm not going to list them all...they know who they are! :)

I'm reading "The Story of the Human Body" by Daniel Lieberman. It's about how evolutionary processes have shaped the way our bodies are today. It's a fascinating book.
I recently read "The Goldfinch" by Donna Tartt. I love her work, and this book was so layered.

I saw the exhibit "Beyond Belief" at the Contemporary Jewish Museum last year and loved it. More questions than answers.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Loving friends, good food, dance/movement, sense of purpose in life, opportunities to grow and give and create
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How great people got that way
The potato puffs at Gregoire
The artistic process
My family
How the acceptance of undesirable emotions actually helps us surmount them (thank you, Pema Chodron, get on with your Buddha self)
When I am going to be on Colbert
How often in life people have to choose between being truthful/authentic and being accepted/loved
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Probably in rehearsal
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I care more about being kind than being cool. I'm over all the posturing at this point in my life.
But I do love art. And RuPaul's Drag Race saved my life.

I tend to get along well with people who are emotionally aware, who try to be conscious in the world, who care about the arts, science, literature, politics, health, the environment, spirituality, social issues, and stuff like that.
