My self-summary
I don't really like people. It's more of a general thing because there are plenty of individuals I like, but I would rather be at home alone than in any crowded place.

I usually find it difficult to conform to societal norms, which sometimes makes life harder than it probably needs to be. I have a strong sense of what I believe is right and wrong and sometimes it makes me different from other people, so I get called weird a lot.

I enjoy helping people and doing nice things for people. My friend makes fun of me cause when I go visit him I always do his dishes. I also have a tendency to help everyone, even people I don't like. This might contradict my first statement about not liking people.

I like to cook a lot and try new recipes.

I hate December. It's so depressing. I think I just need a distraction.

I'm really picky about people. Sorry.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm a receptionist at an independent living/assisted living/nursing/VA group home. It really is all of the above, but I usually simplify it to crazy people home because I'm pretty sure 90% of my residents are mentally ill. Because of this, I'm going to grad school for social work and my goal is to work for the VA.
I’m really good at
I'm a decent writer and I really would like to publish something someday. I'm good at reading people because I'm kind of quiet and I like to assess situations and people before getting involved. That being said, I'm also good at getting along with people, though that might be more because I'm nice. And I'm good at languages. Someone once called me a prodigy child because I tend to be good at most things I do. This comes more from working hard than natural talent, but it would only be fair to mention what I'm bad at too. So, I can't do any kind of aggressive sport that involves teams. They made me do basketball because I'm tall, but they soon learned their mistake with that one. Stairs are my natural nemisis, but I vow that I will one day defeat them. I actually only trip about once a day. Crowds freak me out, especially if I have to talk to them about something about which I know nothing.
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm kinda tall. I also have crazy, long, curly hair that I like to put into all kinds of styles. My eyes change colors and they've been pretty much all colors, as has my hair. Apparently people think I'm unfriendly cause I usually have a blank look on my face. I'm not though, I just spend a lot of time in my head.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: Count of Monte Cristo, Three Musketeers, The Art of War, Sons of the Wolf, Jane Austen, and probably other books that I can't remember. It's been a long time since I had time to read books. I love my collection of language books.

Movies: Dead Poet's Society, Secondhand Lions, Kingdom of Heaven, The Forbidden Kingdom, Shanghai Knights, Shanghai Noon, Pane e Tulipani, Sabrina, Bringing up Baby, Charade, How to Steal a Million, La Petit Jerusalem, and other movies

Shows: Big Bang Theory, Once Upon a Time, Ghost Whisperer, Modern Family, Doctor Who, Daily Show, Psych, Arrested Development, The New Girl

Music: I love music and am constantly searching for music that can make me feel something. I like Drake, System of a Down, Disturbed, Nadiya, Zucchero, Toofan, Jovanotti, The Beetles, The Monkeys, movie soundtracks, Dvorak, Stravinski, Saint Saens, Adele, Rihanna, Wiz Khalifa, The Eagles, and way more that I can't think of right now.

Food: I love Indian food, although the best is in Cincinnati, sushi, Middle Eastern food, Italian, tomato soup, even though I don't like tomatoes. I have recently decided that I want to try being a vegetarian again. Last time I only gave up meat, but this time I am also giving up dairy. This is how I discovered that I actually am a pretty good cook.
The six things I could never do without
My computer, my mind, a sense of humor, something to read, stimulating conversation, music
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I think about lots of things. My mind never stops going, which is why I had to start meditation before bed otherwise I never fall asleep. I guess I get stuck on the future a lot, I also make up imaginary worlds so that I can do all kinds of things inside my head.
On a typical Friday night I am
Well, I'm about to start working third shift, which means that every Friday night around 10:30 pm I will be starting my shift. Oh well.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I have never had sex with an American. It's not an invitation, by the way, because I'm not into meaningless sex, but it is a little weird, apparently. I guess I have a thing for educated foreigners.
