My self-summary
I enjoy the simple things: Black coffee, great conversations, cute animals, well-fitting dresses, games of skill, and the smell of desert rain showers.

I love to read (I spent most of my youth in the public library) and travel (I've lived on the road in a car - Trust me, the YMCA has terrible coffee). I'm smart, sweet, and self-sufficient. Food and art keep me alive.

Mainly looking for intelligent girls, guys, or couples for casual adventures with me and my partner, Quim_Font. We're nice! We love to cook elaborate meals and go out on the town, then come back home and enjoy simple pleasures. Want to get in a delightful, yet challenging, debate about anything at all? Let's yell! (I have a lot of Star Trek knowledge, and he has read more books than any librarian I know). Want homemade Indian food? I've got a tikka masala recipe that'll knock your knee socks off. Need a book recommendation? Okay, can do.

Friendship is the most important thing to me. It's essential before intimacy, and crucial before more. I'm picky about who I get close to, and it takes me a little while to open up to a new friend or partner. Real connections make for the best experiences—I'd love to get to know you if you'd love to do the same. Let's go see a show, people-watch in a dive bar, stare at an art exhibit, gallivant around town, taste weird beers, or enjoy a delicious meal together!
What I’m doing with my life
Enjoying myself. Enjoying others. Going places. Working in advertising and wavering between extreme enjoyment and existential angst about that. Having adventures. Making art. Eating all of the things. Completing the NY Times crosswords. Taking pictures or collecting old cameras. Building elaborate hair sculptures. Stumbling into awkward situations.
I’m really good at
Baking, standardized tests, "Jeopardy!," satire, observation, arts and crafts, hugging, listening, learning new things, Scrabble, cursive, adapting...

Being good-bad (but not evil).
The first things people usually notice about me
Height (almost 6 feet), blue eyes, propensity for giggling.

Really, though, I am quite tall. I'm 5'11.5", with curves to match. I'm more of a Marilyn than a Jackie, although I do love pillbox hats.

The six things I could never do without
Coffee, music, adventure, sunshine, books, shampoo
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Desires and connections. The world is bound with secret knots.
On a typical Friday night I am
A) Cooking a delicious meal, drinking wine, making a collage or drawing, watching The X-Files, and spending the night indoors with my boyfriend

B) Watching "Jeopardy!", swimming with friends in my pool (I don't have a pool anymore :( RIP pool, you'll be missed), sharing a meal, and wandering around in search of adventure
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I have my first two novels planned out. Please don't ask me what they're about. If I want to tell you, I will. :)
You should message me if
You read my profile in full.

You love your fellow humans.

You like beehive hairdos.

You're patient (I get a little shy about online dating and might be slow to formulate a reply).

You're good-bad, but not evil.
