My self-summary
I've found this joke to be an excellent test for compatibility:

Three logicians walk into a bar.
Bartender: Can I get y'all a drink?
Logician 1: Maybe.
Logician 2: Maybe.
Logician 3: Yes.

Didn't think that's funny? yeah.... I get that a lot. I have a quirky sense of humor.

I love exploring things I don't know. I love learning. I've had my ego broken enough times to be able to shut up and listen. I'm finally becoming a professional, which is very important to me. I'm logical, but need to be surrounded with art, creativity and eccentricity.

Some look at things that are, and ask, "Why?" Others dream of things that never were, and ask, "Why not?" - George Carlin
What I’m doing with my life
I moved from NYC to SF in February to work for a startup. I get paid to write a physics engine for the web, how cool is that? Don't tell my boss, but I'd do it for free.

Though I think NYC is culturally superior, and more of a foodie city (convince me otherwise by suggesting your fav restaurant!), SF is a much easier city to live in, and it's got everything I need.

Currently, all my creative juices go into designing my apartment. I've turned into Martha Stewart trapped in a man's body. Except darker.

I also just got a membership at TechShop. I like to make things. I'm currently designing a headboard for my bed which I'll either laser cut from wood or water jet out of steel.
I’m really good at
I'm pretty okay at:
cooking
cocktails
math
making things out of metal, wood, glass
artistic applications of kerosene
independence
the internet
managing to escape precarious situations unscathed
The first things people usually notice about me
strangers pretty much divulge deeply personal stories after knowing me for thirty seconds. it's bizarre. and lovely. so to answer the question: approachability.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: I love Vonnegut. My favorite book is by Saramago, The Gospel According to Jesus Christ. It will blow your hair back.

Music: Hot Chip, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, m83, Beirut, Fanfarlo, The Decemberists, Mumford and Sons, Pretty Lights. Oh, and I knew all these bands before you did. Seriously.

TV: I watch little. I like the Daily Show, Arrested Development, Breaking Bad, Archer, Mad Men. The Graduate is my favorite movie. Recent fav movie is Cloud Atlas, but I cheated by reading the book first.
The six things I could never do without
The internet, text editor, coffee, recreational math, MIG welder
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The banach tarski paradox
How to intone: "Buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo."
On a typical Friday night I am
Updating OKC, apparently. Msg me and give me an excuse to leave the house! I haven't seen daylight in weeks!!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I just went to the citadel. It was pretty intense.
