My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
moved to Denver last year when I transferred colleges, born in Hong Kong to American parents, grew up in the SF Bay Area, came to Denver after spending a few years at a college south of Seattle and am trying to get what I'm actually gonna do in a couple years worked out in some detail, now getting ready to start doing some random classes at Sussex and wander around Europe, arriving in early June

have traveled around most of my life, have done trips around the world and have also crossed the US and Canada by road a few times, either driving myself or hitch-hiking, I need to keep moving around or else I start going crazy under the crushing monotony

I am awful at writing about myself and never know what to put down and what to omit, so if you want to know more just ask

Going to be basing myself in Brighton and going around the rest of Europe from there for the entire summer, looking for people to meet who know the area and things to do while I'm there, people who want to go off traveling with me are welcome too
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Whatever I damn well please

Getting bachelor's degree, trying to become a journalist if the job still exists by the time I'm out

being a highly intelligent yet directionless slacker cliche straight out of some shit 90s movie

I alternate my summers between either visiting family in the UK and going off on random journeys through the rest of Europe while I'm at it or being whitewater-trash and working as a river guide on the Rogue River in Southern Oregon, with the 6 weeks DU gives us off in winter used for bumming around Latin America
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
writing, directions, finding weird hidden places, making a point, asking questions

turning whiskey into urine

my greatest skill is making speculations that sound completely insane at the time only to be proven right within a few months or years, it's happened a ridiculous amount of times over the strangest things
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
when I have a beard, it has almost as much bright red hair in it as it does brown hair

otherwise people just see this tall, thin, slightly exhausted-looking guy with brown hair and then go along their way
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I like distorted guitars and I like them played hard, fast, and loud with crude production quality
my tastes are simple in this area

a nice big steak that's so rare I have to kill it with my fork or a bucket of Cajun shrimp so spicy it can corrode paint off a board
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
good beer, good bud, weird books, good people, good music and my treacherous snakepit of a family
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
a wide plethora of things, the biggest upside of severe ADHD is the ability to daydream vividly and broadly
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Aimless drunken wandering, studying or laying in bed streaming crap with a massive joint in my hand

I spent most of my teenage years in tiny, isolated boarding schools in hyper-rural areas with zero internet access and three-day old newspapers so I missed out on most things that happened from 2005 to 2008, it's something that I can explain more of in person but suffice it to say my teenage years were bizarre as all hell

one good thing about it was the time on my hands to read tons of books of all kinds, which allows me to already seem obnoxiously overeducated despite being only halfway through a bachelor's degree

you know Brighton well, you know a good place to drink, you can help me find a fair deal on decent cannabis (I'm from Colorado and got way too used to it being legal, so going hunting for it is going to be tedious), you have an idea for a weekend trip and want someone to do it with or just because you do whatever you damn well please
