My self-summary
I have a cat.
I like scotch.
Like most people on this site, I like trying new restaurants and doing new things.

What else? I've dabbled in real estate, law, and now I'm working on becoming a programmer.
What I’m doing with my life
Changing careers and always working on myself to become the best person I can be.
I’m really good at
I like to think I'm a pretty good conversationalist. I'm handy around computers too and I'm a pretty decent cook in the kitchen. I'd say I'm a jack of all trades.

Despite the clipped nature of this profile, I'm also a pretty damn good writer and editor.
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm pretty fit, so occasionally I get the random compliment. I also have two tattoos. One's on my right forearm and it's a grounding symbol - it's a reminder of the most important things I need to keep track of.

The second is from the Sandman series by Neil Gaiman and it's the sigil of Dream. It's on my left collarbone, and I got it to commemorate approximately three years of working out - I've lost nearly fifty pounds!

Also, my pictures here blow. I know this, but that's okay. I hate cameras and I duck out of pictures as much as I can.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
King, Murakami, Dahl, Gaiman, Spiegelmann, C.S. Lewis, Pollan, Nabokov, Doestoevsky.

South Park, TWD, Archer, Arrested Development, Battlestar Galactica, Bob's Burgers, Cosmos.

I love finger foods, ice cream and fried chicken. I also love yogurt, granola, and fruit. I like pretty much everything. I have a soft spot in my heart for cheeseburgers. They were my favorite food growing up, and when I was kid, I always wanted to have them for dinner. Unfortunately, my parents insisted on either eating traditional Korean food. And that hamburgers were not classy enough.

25 years later, we have gourmet hamburgers. And when I take my mom out to dinner, GUESS WHAT SHE ORDERS. The irony is delicious. It tastes like beef.

I take my coffee black, my beer stout, and my whiskey neat. (But with a water back please!)

Movies: Eternal Sunshine, Django, The Producers, Sweeney Todd, Stranger than Fiction, Anchorman, Big Fish. Basically, if it's a Tim Burton, Chris Nolan, Tarantino, I'm in. If it makes me feel deeply or of course laugh, I'm in.

Music: The Arcade Fire, RHCP, Incubus (the older stuff), Franz Ferdinand, Cake, QOTSA, Daft Punk.

Give me some funk, a beat, and some rock.
The six things I could never do without
Let's shorten this. The only things I'd be miserable without is:

My friends/family.
My cat.
Good conversation.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Why do people do the things they do?

How can I be a good guy?

Why am I on this planet?

So the standard existential questions.
On a typical Friday night I am
Whatever happens.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm pretty emotional and I can come on strong. It's something I've been working on for about twenty years!
