My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.

What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Avoiding ablative behavior, when I can. I'm getting better at it. (I think I made up the term "ablative behavior!")

Working and over-using hyphens, whatever that means. Keeping my shoulders back, back straight and chin up. Posture. Wearing solid shoes to work. Solid footing on solid ground. As a rock.

I bike most places I go. Or take public transit. Why do they so rarely check tickets?
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.

Playing "Delia" by Johnny Cash.

Correcting people's grammar and spelling (as well as my own!).

Riding my bike with no hands.

"...long exposures...", indeed....
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I dunno, my eyeglasses?

Probably a subtle, judgmental sideways glance at the annoying couple sitting at the bar.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: Currently reading David Byrne's Bicycle Diaries. His lyrics are better than his prose. Also reading Our Band Could Be Your Life by Azzerad.
Steep Approach To Garbardale by Iain Banks. What a writer. I should read The Wasp Factory and The Bridge again and you should read them, as well.
Michael Ondaatje. The Nasty Bits by Bourdain, The Ginger Man by JP Donleavy, The Road by Cormac McCarthy, Work and Other Sins, a collection of writings by Charlie LeDuff, NYTimes columnist. Lots of bits about drinking and NYC bars and post 9-11 stuff.

Music: Jeff the Brotherhood once changed the shape of my head with thy flange on that bass!

The Hold Steady, Television, Mr. Airplane Man.

I have Metal Church s/t and Malcom McClaren-Fans both on LP AND cassette!

I really only want to listen to Exile On Main Street, however.

Food: I like all kinds of food. I like to cook, as well. I'm trying to be as gluten-free as possible. I had a Gyro yesterday, couldn't help myself. Tacos. Prime Rib.

Movies: Yes, I enjoy watching movies, Big Lebowski is a favorite that comes to mind. Flash Gordon, Predator, The Devil and Daniel Johnston. AIRPLANE!

Shows: I'm a big fan of Spaced. Mad Men, The Wire, Sopranos, Downton Abbey, TRAILER PARK BOYS! South Park.
I really like British copper shows (Prime Suspect, Luther, which is why I wrote it that way, because that's how he says it.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
-Vinyl records
-Jesus walking on water
-Guided By Voices
-Film cameras (and film, duh....)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How I can be better at being me, whatever that may turn out to be that day.

"You're" vs. "your."
"There, their, they're...."

Alex Grey paintings.

How putting the word YAY in all-caps and quotes makes the whole thing "Post," according to Suzy. "YAY!"

Oh, and sex, 'cause who doesn't?

Flip flops, yes UGH! Do I really need to see your toenails?
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Laying around or stalking the Bing Lounge or walking the neighborhood. Or drinking some cider.

Or seeing some band/hearing live music.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I don't really know what "ablative behavior" is, but it sounded good.

Also, I really dig Edie Brickel & New Bohemians' song "Nothin'," and "Circle." Heck that whole record kills.

Girl Talk is sonic collage, not "mash-ups."

If you're the lady who sang Divinyls' "I Touch Myself" at Ladd's Inn karaoke that random Friday night two years ago. Ladd's Inn, RIP.

You want to ride through the alleys of Ladd's Addition! Funnest thing to do in Portland on a bike! Sublime, even.

I don't bite (unless you consent) and I'm perfectly harmless.

Message me first! I really respect a woman that sees something she likes and gets it.
