I've transitioned from San Diego and settled in nicely to PNW . I would like to chalk that up to my sparkling personality but, really, it's probably due to other peoples' patience. People here are very friendly and I have not been disappointed yet. The only thing I have had trouble with has been the weather and not having a daily dose of sunshine. I'm told that will change in the spring and summer.
Would like to believe that perpetual optimism rules the day but everyone has hiccups and speedbumps in life. Working through those times is often a communal effort facilitated by the very best of friends who all bring their wisdom at just the right time. Friends are very important.
An admission. My name is Dave and I am a foodie. I have no interest in changing. Unless it involves adjusting a recipe to make it better.
All meals prepared at home are from scratch-ALL of them. I believe food needs to bite you back a little. My ideal woman would have the ability to do wine pairing...and... (I maintain the right to add to this section later. Fishing will be in there somewhere).
Having a sense of humor is a necessity- especially these days. The ability to make a fizzy beverage shoot out of each other's nose with a well placed, well timed inappropriate observation is important. I plan on laughing all the way to the finish line.
Write back. I'd love to hear from you.
Dave
