I'm super passionate and super eclectic, my interests range from
bluegrass to
hip hop, from
terrible horror
movies to the ultimate in film snobbery, bikes to guns. I can't help but become an expert on
anything I'm interested in. I've been told my personality is
intoxicating, but that was while I was intoxicated. I write and paint and make music and essentially live to create. I
love getting in trouble. I'm never home. I've been
everywhere, man.
What I’m doing with my life
Right now I'm working for Apple doing tech support while I work on
my BA in English.
I've recently returned to Lexington from living in California for a few years,
mostly to be around my parents since they're getting up there in
age. I'm planning on getting my MFA in Creative Writing and teaching at San Diego State
University, but for now I'm just having fun in the raddest little city in Kentucky.
I’m really good at
Hammering on guitars, convincing people of things, painting, cooking, singing, writing, drinking, and some other secret skills
that aren't up for public discussion.
The first things people usually notice about me
Unfortunately it's usually my hair -- I've always had interesting hair.
But then right after it's sometimes my voice, low and like a surfer
even though I'm from Kentucky. Sometimes my eyes. Sometimes the fact that I'm like five
and a half feet tall. But I almost always get noticed.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
This is always the hardest part. As for music, I love any GOOD
music, no matter the genre, but I'm partial to ska, folk, punk rock, underground hip hop, and
bluegrass. Stuff

I'll read anything, but my favorite book of all time is Slaughterhouse
Five. The same goes for films, really -- I'll watch anything
once, but I'm hella partial to Coen Brothers movies and terrible
B-movies. I'll
try any food once, too, but I am definitely into extremely spicy
foods like Indian,
Thai, and good
Mexican.
The six things I could never do without
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I definitely think too much, sometimes I have trouble getting to
sleep because I just keep thinking. Usually it's lyrics, or girls, or politics, or people and
places I miss. It's kind of blissful to find those moments where
I'm not thinking and just living.
On a typical Friday night I am
Preferably at a show, usually drinking, out, or at a party, always
getting into something.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I, in all seriousness, love to listen to Prince.
