During this colorful speech, the phrase “That team sucks! What do you think that makes you?”
Among the silence, some giggling coming through from the back. “And you, you can’t take anything seriously!” His eyes dart and his finger pointing my way.
Without much control, there’s some more unintentional giggling. As well as some chuckles from the rest of the team
“See.” he says shaking his head and continues.
Reminiscing about that anecdote still makes me laugh. When I was 7 or 8, I got my first Nintendo and played the crap out of it. I decided right then and there I wanted to invent video games when I grew up!
I think we all know early in life, based on the couple of things I mention here, what are interests are and what kind of people we are and likely will become. If you didn’t notice from the above story, I have a tendency to not take everything in life so seriously, especially myself. I’ll pull out a “Big Gulps, huh?” in hopes to cut the tension in the room. And I will for sure tease you for something you did that was embarrassing.
Being the complex individuals we all are, it’s very difficult to really “know” anyone from reading some text about them here. There’s nothing that can replace that chemistry you feel upon being around that potential best friend turned partner.
I am for sure on the Introvert side of the spectrum, and all that it implies. I tend to move away from the crowd. I can and will talk to anyone about anything, I’m a nice and friendly guy and you’ll notice that right away. It’s just unlikely I started that conversation. Once I get to know or you just know how to crack my shell, conversation is great. I enjoy them, and talking about all the random things bouncing around in my head.
I try to be honest without being hurtful or mean. I want to go and pet any puppy I see walking around. I believe relationships are about communication, and I want to know when I’m being an idiot. I love my family, I’m faithful to my partners, and I try to be anywhere they need me to be.
